Just read as of January 2020, Audi will use Kumho tires on new Q5’s
My husband and I also have the Nokia Hakapellitta tires on my Audi Q5 and his Audi Q7. We live 50 miles from Canada, 10 miles off paved road and these are the best tires we’ve ever had. They’re fabulous both in snow, better on ice than anything else we’ve found, and even have great mileage on 14 hour highway drives. They are not studded, so they don’t tear up roads and our tire guy uses them all summer because they’re so great in wet conditions. We don’t because they are quite soft and would wear quickly with our high summer highway mileage. Nokia (a Finnish company) was the first to develop snow tires, and these are amazing.
We have Nokion Hekappellita winter tires. They are a dream in the winter, ploughs through the snow with no problem. We live in farmland with quite a bit of snow accumulation and have no problem driving in the winter. The tires are somewhat pricy, but worth evert penny.
Absolutely agree!
We’re also in farm land, with hills, and the Hakkas even got me out the driveway in 10″ of snow when I had to make an emergency run for a snowblower belt.
My Audi Q5 is awful in the snow. Is it mine or do other Audi owners feel differently?
My first winter in the Q5 even in light snow not so good. I’m hoping that new tires will help. Any suggestions?
Must be your tires, I switch out for winters even year and my Q5 drives like a tank!
