GT Radial Adventuro M/T Tire Review & Rating
The Adventuro M/T from GT Radial sports an aggressive tread pattern that is built to deliver exceptional on and off-road performance. Designed for drivers of 2 or 4WD pickups and SUV’s, the M/T is created to provide year round traction and a longer treadlife.
A tough all-terrain tread compound is engineered to resist punctures and abrasions from rocks and other elements found in various terrains. The aggressive tread pattern gives this tire increased mud performance, while the higher void ratio allows the tread to self-clean itself.
The tire’s solid shoulders enhance dry pavement traction and cornering grip. The tread design further reduces road noise, which is an area that may surprise you. Many mud tires can become so noisy on the highway that you can no longer talk with any passengers in your truck. This is not the case with this model.
The double, and even triple, reinforced sidewall casing provides additional protection against punctures, chips and tears. Inside the tire you will find two or three steel belts (depending on size selected) and a polyester cord body for added strength and durability, as well as increased handling. The M/T is available in 15-16 inch sizes.
- All-terrain traction is excellent
- Perform very well on the highway
- Lower road noise than you would expect
- Attractive and aggressive good looks
- Long lasting tread life
- Wet traction could be just a touch better
These M/T tires were a pleasant surprise to be sure. It starts with the attractive and aggressive tread design and moves right into tread performance. Seriously, all-terrain performance is nearly up to the level of other tires in this class from the likes of BFGoodrich, Bridgestone and others, and it comes in at a lower price as well. The tire provides an excellent balance between off-road abilities and on-road stability.
Noise from this tire at highway speeds is noticeable of course, but not to the point of being obnoxious. It’s much quieter than you would expect. Wet traction on pavement could be improved upon, but again, if you take it easy and use some caution it is not a big issue. Treadlife is above average for this type of tire, which is an area that other driver reviews mention as well.
Overall, this GT Radial tire makes a solid choice and comes highly recommended.
