Cooper Evolution Tour Tire Review & Rating

As part of their new Evolution line of tires, the Cooper Evolution Tour is built as an all-season tire for drivers of all types of coupes, sedans, minivans and other vehicles. This newest model is set for a mid-2018 launch and joins the Evolution HT and Evolution Winter tires.

An all-season tread compound, five-rib tread pattern and Cooper’s Stabiledge technology provides added traction on dry pavement while giving it increased cornering response and stability.

Four wide circumferential grooves and 3D Micro-Gauge siping around the tread add to grip on wet streets. Cooper has made the sipes full-depth, which is an added plus for this model. These 3D sipes further aid in traction on snow, ice and other winter weather elements.

The Evolution Tour will be available in 48 sizes and will feature a T, H or V-speed rating. A 60K or 65K mile tread warranty is also included depending on the speed rating of the tire.

We will have a full review on this new model as soon as it becomes available.

  1. The Cooper Evolution Tour performs well in dry and wet conditions and is respectable in snowy conditions. Where the tire excels is in comfort and quietness. It is a comfortable tire and a very quiet tire — comparable to more expensive tires in its quietness. The one negative is tread wear. The tire wears sooner rather than later so that after 20,000 miles replacement may be necessary.
