Antares Majoris M5 Tire Review & Rating
The Antares Majoris M5 high-performance all-season tire is built specifically for truck, SUV and crossover drivers who are looking to get the most performance at a budget-minded cost.
Antares uses a new silica tread compound and unique wave-shaped tread grooves that provide increased dry and wet traction. A solid center rib quickens steering response and enhances braking, while larger shoulder blocks aid in cornering grip and stability. This is an added plus on this model.
Large circumferential grooves and the added silica content work to evacuate water and reduce the risk of hydroplaning on wet pavement.
The Antares Majoris M5 is available in 20-24 inch sizes, with either a V, W or Y-speed rating. Antares also includes a 30K mile tread warranty on all sizes.

Overall Thoughts
While you can argue the M5 is not on the same level as the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus, Continental DWS06 and many other top UHP all-season tires, it does provide decent performance for a second-tier tire.
Traction on dry pavement is excellent, and cornering grip and stability is better than you might think. Steering is quicker and more responsive than many other similar tires.
As expected, grip on snow and ice is not the best. But this is a UHP tire and not a winter tire. In addition, ride comfort and treadlife are average in its class.
Overall for the lower cost, the M5 delivers solid performance in almost all areas.
