Antares Deep Digger Tire Review & Rating
The Antares Deep Digger is billed as an affordable, aggressive looking mud terrain tire that is designed to give you excellent grip and traction in harsh conditions, as well as on the street. Built to cater for the needs of a wide range of truck, jeep and 4×4 owners, the Deep Digger also provides the strength and durability needed in rough and difficult terrains such as mud, rocks and sand.
Antares have manufacturer this M/T tire using their terrain sensitive deformation technology and an advanced silica technology, that combine together to produce a tread that’s more durable, safer and has a longer lifespan.
Deep grooves and large tread lugs further enhance these tires and give them their stylish, aggressive appearance, as well as providing solid traction, grip and handling off-road. The larger tread voids between the Deep Digger’s blocks removes gravel, slush, mud and any other debris that often affects performance.
Sporting a strengthened carcass that includes two steel cord belts and two or three polyester cord plies, depending on the tire size, gives this tire added puncture resistance and allows it to withstand a lot of punishment when driven on rougher terrains. We’ve heard this same thing in other driver reviews of this model.
Additional rubber ridges situated between its blocks add even more protection and all of these features give you a smoother, quieter ride, which is a positive for this tire. Antares offers 15 to 20 inch sizes, with D and E load ranges available.

- Traction on rocks, mud, gravel and sand is excellent
- Very good dry traction and handling
- Smooth ride delivers good feel for the road
- Easy to balance

Cons
- Treadlife is not as good as some of the better MT tires
- Not the best on wet pavement
Overall Thoughts
Owners of the Antares Deep Digger tire have had a lot of positive things to say about this M/T tire. It’s a stylish, aggressive looking mud tire that performs better than expected in difficult terrains for a low-cost tire.
Unlike many other mud tires, Deep Digger tires are quiet and smooth when you drive your rig on the street, with many owners of these tires commenting that this is their experience even when they drive at higher speeds on the highway. Off-road, they go through anything and take on rocks and mud as well as more expensive brand name tires.
On the negative side, these tires tend to wear down pretty quickly. Not a big surprise though. In addition, we’ve heard from a few drivers of having traction issues on wet pavement.
Overall, the Antares Deep Digger is an acceptable, affordable mud terrain tire that most owners believe is good value for money. However, if you want higher quality mud terrains that will last longer, you may want to consider a more expensive option.

My favourite tire for price only issue is they get a weird wear on the out side on the steer tire not sure cus they roll a bit when turning but other then there they are good in snow not bad on ice depending on how wet the ashphault is when it rains you may drift the corner but other then that there awsome in mud aswell I recommend all the time
Love them. Longest lasting tire for gravel driving. Cheap and good.
Ive installed many sets of these and haven’t had issues balancing. If it needs a ton of weight break the bead spin it 180 on the rim and reseat it.
Hi, that’s great! Happy to hear you’re satisfied by the Antares Deep Digger tires.
Just installed a set of these (33×12.5R20) for a customer. Hands down the worst new tires I’ve seen as far as not spinning true and requiring a LOT of weight to balance. Once installed, the ride in his Titan was bearable (noticeable but not awful vibration and steering wheel shimmy) at 75mph, but I’m considering that I might refuse to order these for customers in the future since I can’t guarantee the quality expected of my business.
Balanced nicely for my 31-10.50-15 no hop and track nicely on the highway can be loud but so is my Harley
