Yokohama Geolandar H/T Tire Review & Rating
The Yokohama Geolandar H/T is built to deliver highway all-season traction and handling for drivers of all types of SUV’s and light trucks. This model has been used as original equipment over the years on a variety of vehicles due in part to its competent road manners and more quiet ride.
A tougher and more puncture resistant all-season tread compound is matched with a computer-optimized tread pattern for increased performance on dry and wet road surfaces. Ride control and stability is enhanced through the tire’s larger tread blocks.
Four circumferential grooves around the tread channel away water and reduce the risk of hydroplaning on wet pavement. Full depth sipes and lateral grooves provide added bite and grip on wet or snow covered roads.
Inside the G035 you will find two steel belts for added strength and durability. A polyester cord body delivers increased ride comfort and promotes longer treadwear.

Overall Thoughts
This is one of those types of tires that can do some things really well, yet under perform in other areas. Dry and wet traction on the H/T G035 is excellent. The tire provides very good stability and cornering grip is excellent for the most part. We like the ride comfort, with road noise not being a big factor.
On the other hand, when it comes to driving in winter weather conditions you have to use some extra patience, and caution. Grip on snow and ice has been a problem area for many drivers in reviews as well on this tire. In addition, treadlife could be a little better. While it is not horrible, we would like to see a bit longer life.
Overall, the H/T is a middle of the pack performer in our opinion. If a highway all-season truck tire is what you’re after, you might want to take a closer look at their YK-HTX or other models such as the Michelin Defender LTX M/S or Cooper Discoverer HTP among others.

Warranty
Yokohama provides a limited tread warranty on the H/T. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first 2/32 inch of wear. Materials and workmanship are warranted for 5-years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is then given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
