Continental Vanco 2 Tire Review & Rating

The Continental Vanco 2 is built for drivers of heavy-duty trucks and vans who need the added capacity for hauling heavier loads. With all-season traction and handling, the Vanco Contact 2 is designed to also provide a smoother ride and longer treadlife.

A tougher all-season tread compound features more ridged shoulder blocks for increased stability and handling on dry pavement. It further enhances cornering performance and overall braking. This tread design is ideal for vehicles that have a higher balance point.

The sipes are computer-optimized so that they are positioned to deliver optimal wet surface traction. Wider circumferential grooves evacuate water from under the tire and reduce the risk of hydroplaning.

Inside the tire you will find two steel belts with a polyester cord body that provide added strength and durability, as well as increased ride comfort. The optimized lat belt contour also adds to the comfort this tire provides. Continental has 16 inch sizes available for this model.

Overall Thoughts

For anyone driving a truck or van with heavy loads, this tire will give you the performance you are looking for. Traction and handling in all-season conditions is very good, and the steering provides good feel.

Ride quality on this tire is comfortable and pretty quiet for the type of tire this is. Treadlife is one area that could be improved upon with this model, which has been mentioned by some drivers as well. To be fair, we do not find it to be a huge issue in most cases.

Overall, we like this tire for its heavy-duty abilities and performance.

Warranty

Continental provides a limited tread warranty on this model. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for one-year or the first 2/32 inch of wear.

Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth. A 30-day customer satisfaction trial is also given with this tire.
