For drivers wanting an ultra-high performance summer tire, Continental has created the ContiSportContact 2. Engineered for sport coupes and luxury sedans, this tire is all about high performance traction, braking and cornering power. This tire is also original equipment on the Porsche 911, as well as on many other European sports cars.

Continental utilizes their exclusive Bionic Tread Compound Technology, along with an asymmetric tread pattern, to give the tire precise steering control at all speeds. The continuous outer shoulder pattern around the tread provides increased cornering power, which is something this tire does very well.

Performance on wet surfaces is enhanced through the tire’s open inner shoulders and circumferential grooves that evacuate water for increased hydroplane resistance and added wet traction. Continental has also added sipes on the outer shoulder to further increase grip on both wet and dry surfaces. Noise is reduced through an optimized tread block configuration.

Inside the tire you will find two steel belts with nylon reinforcement that add strength and durability to the tire at higher speeds. Continental provides their unique Advanced Mold Contour on this tire which enhance braking power by allowing the tread to widen hitting the brakes. The result is shorter stopping distances. You’ll find the ContiSportContact 2 available in a wide range of sizes and in speed ratings of Y and Z.

For drivers wanting a tire that provides outstanding cornering performance, braking, and steering response, the ContiSportContact 2 is an excellent choice. This tire inspires confidence behind the wheel and lets you feel in total control.

Beyond that, the ride is comfortable and noise is acceptable, although some drivers in their reviews have mentioned the tire tends to get noisier as it wears down. Beyond a little extra noise, treadwear has been an issue for a few drivers.

Warranty

Continental includes a limited warranty on the ContiSportContact 2. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for one-year or the first 2/32 inch of wear.

Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.

There is also a one-year road hazard warranty, and a 30-day customer satisfaction trial.
