Yokohama BluEarth Winter V905

Overview

The Yokohama BluEarth Winter V905 is a premium touring stud-less winter tire with directional tread; specifically designed for passenger cars.

The winter V905 is also eco-friendly and it is made while keeping in mind comfort and ease for drivers of sports cars, high-performance sedan and coupes. As such, these provide excellent traction and handling during dry as well as wet conditions.

A specialized and high-end silica compound infused with orange oil lends them extra flexibility and provides traction in any sort of weather.

The directional tread pattern has a widened slanting groove that quickly releases water and slush from the contact patch for extra resistance to hydroplaning. The sipes in these tires are 3D along with biting edges for traction on slick surfaces. This also help in increasing the stiffness of the tread blocks, thus resulting in more confident handling of the car.

Internally, these tires are constructed with a two-ply polyester casing that helps in balancing them and provides a comfortable ride. The two wide steel belts are patched on with a nylon cap ply to improve the handling response of the car and for more stability at higher speeds.

The BluEarth Winter V905 tires are branded with a three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol; this signifies that it meets the industry standards and requirements for driving in snowy conditions.

Another significant feature of these tires is that they are branded with snow wear bars; these indicate how much the tread have worn out over time. This feature is more like a measure of the effectiveness of these tires in the snow after a certain level of mileage has been achieved on these tires.

Since these tires come in sizes ranging from 15inch to 22inch, they can be fitted in all sorts of passenger vehicles.
