Designed for all types of coupes, sedans and minivans, the Tiger Paw AWP II from Uniroyal is a sixth generation model that draws on their years of experience in providing top quality tires. The touring all-season construction is built to provide dependable performance at an affordable price for budget-conscious drivers.

An all-season tread compound and computer-phased tread design provides increased dry and wet traction, while also delivering a more quiet and comfortable ride quality. Three circumferential grooves and angled grooves enhance wet grip and reduce hydroplane risks.

Uniroyal utilizes their DuraShield construction technology to add durability and a stronger resistance to damage and shocks. TrU-Form technology includes a stress-tested contact patch that promotes even wear throughout the tire.

Inside the tire are dual steel belts with a polyester cord body that adds strength and durability to the tread. Sizes are available ranging from 13 to 16 inches. Uniroyal also includes a 70,000 mile tread warranty on the AWP II as well.

Overall Thoughts

Uniroyal has been making tires for many years and the AWP is in its sixth-generation. That alone speaks for itself, but it doesn’t hide the fact that this tire is a solid performing all-season model.

Dry and wet traction on this tire is very good. It holds the road confidently and the steering is responsive throughout the speed range. You’ll also like the quiet and comfortable ride this model provides. One area we could see improving is with winter traction and handling. As is the case with most AS tires, getting through deeper snow and ice can often be problematic.

Overall though, this is one of Uniroyal’s best performing tires in their lineup and also one that features a lower price than many competitors in its class. It’s a tire that we can certainly recommend.

Warranty

Uniroyal provides a 6-year or 70,000 mile tread warranty on the Tiger Paw AWP II. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for one-year or the first 2/32 inch of wear.

Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given during the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.

  1. Dont mean to rag on the tire, but if one lives in a harsh climate like I do (Minnesota), think seriously of other brands with higher rated snow/ice traction. The tires are OK overall, but for such an aggressive tread pattern, snow traction is much poorer than I expected. I drive a civic, and winter traction has never been its strong point, but these tires seem worse than even the OEM tires.
