Inside the tire are two steel belts and a polyester cord body that add strength and durability, while also promoting more even wear. The Extensa AS is available in a wide range of 13 to 18 inch sizes, and come in S, T and H-speed ratings. Toyo also includes up to a 65,000 mile tread warranty on this tire.

As a budget tire that is designed for everyday use, the Extensa A/S provides a range of benefits that far outweigh its value cost.
As far as driving on dry road surfaces, this tire handles and rides very good. Wet traction is one of the only areas that we would like to see a bit of improvement in. Other drivers have mentioned issues with traction on wet roads when pushed hard.
Winter handling is pretty good on this tire. They handle light to moderate amounts of snow as well as most any all-season tire. Finally, tread life is long lasting on the Extensa A/S, which Toyo backs up for 65,000 miles. Overall, for a budget-priced tire that is great for everyday driving it’s hard to go wrong with this model for stability, durability and comfort.

Toyo Extensa A/S prices range from approximately $69 and up. You may also find occasional rebates, discount prices, coupons and special offers on this tire.
Warranty
Toyo provides a 65,000 mile tread warranty on all S or T-speed rated sizes, and a 50,000 mile warranty on H-speed rated tires. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first 1/32 inch of wear.
Materials and workmanship are warranted for 5 years and include free replacement for the first 25% of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
Toyo also includes their No Regrets 45-day, 500 mile trial guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with the tires you may refund or replace them with another model.

I’m on my 3rd set of Extensa A/S tires. Couldn’t be happier. Been impressed with how they handle in all weather conditions, and in emergency events. 52 years driving experience, 17 years with Extensa’s. They run extremely quiet which is another plus. The first thing I ask when I need tires is if this model is still made.
PLASTIC BIG WHEEL TIRES!
If you like sliding around on wet roads then these tires will give you lots of fun. If you think sliding sideways in front of 70 MPH traffic getting on the freeway with a curved on-ramp is not your thing then these tires are probably not for you. After just 2200 miles on these tires I’ve had more close calls and life threatening slides than I can count on one (maybe two) hands. On dry pavement these tires are marginal and MAYBE just good enough for the average driver. On wet roads, you better have the best possible car insurance and I recommend life insurance as well. With 40 years of driving experience I’ve never considered returning a set of tires, but I am looking into it with these.
