The Goodyear Assurance CS TripleTred All Season is designed to provide year round performance in all types of road conditions, while also giving a smooth and more comfortable ride. Engineered for drivers of SUV’s, pickups and crossovers, the TripleTred AS features Goodyear’s exclusive three zone tread technology.

An all-season tread compound, which contains unique polymers, is molded into a directional tread pattern that also sports three distinct tread zones. The first one is the Dry Zone, which features larger tread blocks around the shoulders of the tire to enhance dry traction and cornering performance.

The tire’s Wet Zone includes the addition of unique sweeping Aquachannel grooves that increase water evacuation from under the tire’s footprint. Goodyear’s Evolving Traction Grooves add more driver confidence by maximizing the tire’s contact patch as it begins to wear down. What begins as 1/10 of an inch sipes, ends up becoming wider lateral grooves that provide additional traction in rough weather as the tire wears down.

An Ice Zone includes multiple biting edges around the tread and a continuous center rib that increase grip on snow and ice covered road surfaces. Many reviews from other drivers have mentioned how well this tire performs in winter weather.

Inside the tire you will find two steel belts that are reinforced with polyamide wrapping, along with a polyester cord body, to add strength and durability throughout the speed range. It also provides added ride comfort and more even tread wear. Goodyear backs up this tire with a 65,000 mile tread guarantee.

Overall Thoughts

Just like the Assurance TripleTred for passenger cars, this Assurance CS TripleTred for trucks, SUV’s and crossovers provides exceptional all-around performance. Traction and handling on dry, wet or even snow covered roads is excellent. Braking is also a strong point for this tire, even on ice.

Ride comfort scores well, and road noise is minimal until the tire begins wearing out, although drivers have also mentioned that it is not a big issue.

Overall, this model offers outstanding value and performance for the money and is one of the better tires in its class. Highly recommended.

Warranty

The Assurance CS Triple Tred comes with a 6-year or 65,000 mile tread guarantee. Tire uniformity is backed for 6-months or the first 2/32 inch of wear.

Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.

Goodyear also adds in a 2-year roadside plan, as well as their 30-day test drive guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied you can exchange the tires for another Goodyear model.
