Taskmaster Provider ST Radial Trailer Tire Review & Rating

The Taskmaster Provider ST Radial trailer tire is designed to provide dependable traction and stability with a longer lasting tread life. Built for trailer service use only, the Provider ST features a tougher tread compound that is more resistant to bruising than many other tires.

A 5-rib tread pattern increases handling performance and gives the tire better overall stability at higher speeds. Due to the tougher compound and heavier materials that are used in the makeup of this trailer tire, you can expect to find enhanced performance and longer service on stiffer trailer suspensions.

Overall Thoughts

Taskmaster has produced a decent trailer tire in the Provider ST Radial. While we still feel the Maxxis tire sits alone at the top of class, this tire is not far behind. Expect to find good traction and stability in addition to a better than average tread life.

  1. Been running Chaparral Fifth wheel trailers for 30 years,, been fighting tire problems that long also, Just found out this year the ST / Trailer Tire Spec Rating means you Must Always set the Cold air pressure to the Max Stated TP on the side of the tire no matter the Loading of the Trailer (up to the combined load of the tires) The reason being that the Sidewalls will Flex too much if not set to Max Cold TP…. FYI, correct me if I’m wrong, Hope it Fix’s my Tire Problems

  2. Now the company has all 5 of my tires again and will do nothing but lie and bully me. A complaint to the Federal Trade Commission has been made.

Stay away from these. Cheap is not always cheap when your property becomes damaged.

  3. I have a set of four on my travel trailer. They were OE tires are are very close (within 90#) of maximum load. I have towed the trailer more than 40,000 miles without any tire trouble at all. the tires have a 2013 manufacturing date on my 2014 trailer and I just returned from a 1000 mile trip, seven years old and still running fine. I tow at 65 mph max and protect the tires from UV when in storage. I am very pleased with these tires.

  4. I have had 2 sets of Taskmaster Provider tires (ST235/80R16) for my 24′ enclosed car trailer. The original set, had 2 tires shred to pieces going down the highway. This was 2 1/2 years into owning my trailer. I contacted Taskmaster and they replaced all 5 of my tires. Now, 2 years into having these on my trailer, I have 2 tires that are either delaminating or the belts are coming apart internal to the tire. I first saw a bubble the size of a softball sticking out of the outer sidewall. I placed my spare on, to realize I had another tire that was causing me to think my diesel truck was running bad that was bulging on the outside edge of the sidewall, with a flat spot on the outside tread of the tire. These tires are horrible and DANGEROUS !

Please let others beware of my experiences !!!

    1. I would be interested in knowing the driving conditions the failed tires were exposed to along with the size, load range and speed range limits of the specific tires…..
