Provider Entrada 4X4 HP Tire Review & Rating

Delivering year-round traction and handling with a smooth ride is what the Provider Entrada 4X4 HP is designed to do. Built for all types of pickups, SUV’s and crossovers, the Entrada 4X4 HP is also priced low to fit those on tighter budgets.

Provider uses an all-season rubber tread compound and symmetric tread pattern that increases traction on dry and wet pavement. The 5-rib pattern features a staggered continuous center rib that adds to braking and acceleration performance.

Provider Entrada 4X4 HP Tire Review

Wide circumferential grooves and dense sipes around the tread provide enhanced grip on wet road surfaces while reducing the risk of hydroplaning. This is a plus for this particular model. The addition of sipes further aids in winter traction, however, this is an all-season tire and not a winter tire.

The tread design is optimized to offer a smoother and more quiet ride quality. You won’t find much in the way of excessive road noise at highway speeds. The Provider HP carries a 440 UTQG rating and comes with a 40k mile tread warranty, which is about right for this tire.

Pros

  • Dependable dry and wet traction
  • Provides a good feel for the road
  • Treadlife
  • Performance and value for the money

Cons

  • Traction in deep snow and ice
  • Add more available sizes

Overall Thoughts

Provider may not be a well-known brand for many people, but they are making some good performing tires for trucks and SUV’s. The Entrada 4X4 HP fits the bill for drivers looking for a solid tire that delivers more than adequate all-season traction and handling. Nothing stands out, but it simply does a good all-around job.

Naturally, traction on ice, hardpack or in deeper amounts of snow is going to be problematic, but that’s what you find on most any all-season tire. Other than that there’s not a lot to fault with this model.

Overall, if you’re looking for a basic all-season highway tire for your truck or SUV, this Provider tire is up to the task.

  1. I have a 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara with over 190,000 miles on it. I wanted a tire that would not break the bank and yet would be dependable, roll quietly and handle well. The Provider Entrada fits the bill. This tire has actually truly exceeded my expectations so far. They roll smooth and quiet on the highway. They perform well in the rain. I have limited experience on ice as I bought this set before the last icy conditions but did not get to test them on ice. Handles well in corners and holds well in hard braking. When I first saw it I wasn’t sure about it based on the price point. There is not a lot of information out there on this brand. I finally looked up the DOT code 1YC KLIP CR4017. Shandong Huatuai Tyre Co. LTD from Laiwu, Shandong, China. They have some heavy weight name brand clients (names you know) and then there is Provider. Either way these are a great alternative for a value priced tire that won’t break the bank and give you great service. They say 40,000 miles on the life span. I think with rotating and proper inflation they will last longer.
