Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Tire Review & Rating
The Cinturato P7 All Season from Pirelli is built to deliver competent year-round traction and performance along with a comfortable ride quality. Developed for drivers of sport coupes, sedans and minivans, the P7 AS features Pirelli’s Green Performance philosophy for better environmental compatibility and energy efficiency.
A lower rolling resistance all-season tread compound and high-tech polymers provide increased traction, while also maximizing braking and acceleration performance. An asymmetrical tread pattern and a stronger outside shoulder give this tire enhanced cornering ability along with more responsive steering and stability.
Four circumferential grooves evacuate water from under the tire and increase wet surface traction and reduce the risk of hydroplaning. Independent tread blocks and added multiple sipes around the tire deliver the necessary grip on wet and light snow covered roads. Outside road noise is minimal on this model due to the optimized tread.
Inside the tire you will find two steel belts with a nylon reinforcement for added strength and durability throughout the speed range. A polyester cord body further increases ride comfort. Pirelli offers both a standard and run flat version of this tire, and has sizes available from 16-20 inches.

Overall Thoughts
The P7 All Season delivers good overall performance for an all-season tire. Dry and wet traction are both very good on this tire. Expect good stability and responsive steering, although cornering grip is not as good as some other top tires in this class.
Ride comfort is excellent on the non-run flat tires, and the tire is very quiet. Like most other run flat tires, the ride is a bit stiffer. Treadlife is good, but we would like to see it be a little longer. Overall, this P7 is a very competent tire and does its job well. We give it a ranking in the middle of the class for touring all-season tires.

Warranty
Pirelli provides a limited tread warranty on the P7 AS. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for one-year or the first 2/32 inch of wear. Materials and workmanship are warranted for an unlimited time period and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.

I have seen the p7 Plus rated for 70K tread life, but can find no rating for the P7, which I have. The BMW dealer tells me mine need replacing after only 34K miles. Are yours p7 or p7 Plus?
I have had these tires for almost two years and just went over 70,000 miles. I will replace them instead of doing the next tire rotation since the end of the tires’ life is just about here.
I’m happy with the life of the tires. They’ve been rotated pretty much on schedule and most of my driving has been on the Interstate. At 70,000 miles I’m starting to notice slipping in the rain. The penny test says there’s a little more life left in the tires, but when you’re used to great traction the slipping can be unnerving.
They’re great in the rain, I really can’t say much about snow or ice, but in the little bit of snow I’ve driven in I did not have any problems.
They’re also very quiet tires. If I had one negative thing to say about the tires it would be that they may be a little rough riding. It could be that I keep the inflation up towards the upper limit.
I’m very happy with these tires and would buy them again, but no one seems to sell them around here anymore.
