Nexen Roadian 541 Tire Review & Rating

A tire that is as comfortable driving around town as it is for taking on a camping trip, the Nexen Roadian 541 is ideally suited for SUV’s and light trucks. With consistent driving, comfort and strong performance in mind the tires are able to effectively handle a range of different conditions and road surfaces.

Cornering and general handling is enhanced by the dual pitch type shoulder design while a straight center rib allows for solid performance at high speeds while maintaining good stability.

The Roadian 541’s are great for driving in wet conditions as well and hydroplaning is avoided with the addition of four wide straight grooves and this is further backed up by lateral grooves. Twin steel belts provide added strength and durability while also promoting more even treadwear.

Overall Thoughts

If you need a tire that provides a bit of everything then you can do a lot worse than choosing the Nexen Roadian 541. While they can be described as noisy at times and certainly aren’t the quietest tires you will ever come across they do offer solid performance in many areas.

Wet driving and braking is more than adequate on this tire. In addition to this they have solid cornering abilities and provide stability across a range of driving conditions.

There isn’t a mileage tread warranty, however, tread life is generally decent without being spectacular and this is reflected in their lower budget-friendly price. Overall, we rank the 541 in the middle of its class. For a truck/SUV all-season tire there are many other models that make for better choices.

Warranty

Nexen provides a limited tread warranty on the Roadian 541. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first 2/32 inch of tread wear. Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free replacement during the first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
