Set to replace the popular and best-selling ExtremeContact DW, this next generation model has used the input of five professional race drivers in the design of the tire. Built for serious car enthusiasts, the ExtremeContact Sport will feature maximum traction and cornering grip on both dry or wet pavement.

According to Travis Roffler, director of marketing for Continental, “We chose five of the best sports car drivers in the world to help deliver the performance driving enthusiasts demand in a tire. These drivers pushed our tires to the limits to help develop a tire that includes superb dry handling while not sacrificing any of Continental’s award-winning performance in the wet.”

“This summer tire is ideal for sports cars and sport and luxury vehicles. It’s a very balanced UHP summer tire.”

It should be noted that Continental spent three years of development on this tire and thousands of hours in track testing in designing this UHP tire to deliver extreme performance on the street or track.

The new ExtremeContact Sport uses the latest in tire technology such as Conti’s SportPlus Technology that increases the grip and handling capabilities over the ExtremeContact DW. Continental has also kept their unique Tuned Performance Indicators on this new model. These indicators let you see at a glance how the tire is wearing and when it is time for replacement.

A 30K mile tread warranty and 60-day customer satisfaction guarantee are also part of the package.

The Continental ExtremContact Sport will be available in 71 sizes ranging from 15-20 inch diameters. All sizes will feature either a W or Y-speed rating.

We will have a detailed review on this new model as soon as it becomes available. You can find out more by going to our Continental Tire Reviews section.
