Milestar Patagonia Off-Road Tire

Overview

Milestar is a renowned tire brand, marketed and owned by Tireco, Inc. an all-American private distribution company founded in 1972. Tires manufactured under the Tireco banner are highly praised for their quality; the reason it has become an industry leader in commercial, consumer and specialty tires.

The manufacturer offers a wide range of products that include high-performance, ultra-high performance, passenger, commercial, light truck tires, etc.

The Milestar Patagonia off-road tire is yet another excellent addition to their prolific lineup as it offers superior traction to SUVs and light trucks on difficult mud terrains.

The tread pattern is specially designed to provide enhanced traction on wet, dry and wintery roads along with an improved road grip. Additionally, the increased number of sipes on the tread improves adhesiveness on different surfaces.

The tread design consists of wide grooves that stabilize the vehicle on slippery and wet surfaces – this is due to the improved evacuation of water from the tire’s contact patch that results in increased resistance to hydroplaning. Also, the angled biting edges on the tread perform efficiently to improve traction on soft and loose terrains.

The center tread blocks offer supreme traction due to continuous road contact – this further enhances the tire’s ability to grip slushy and muddy roads.

Similarly, this tire has a higher void ratio that improves its performance on hard surfaces with a smoother and more stable ride while ensuring long and even wear.

Its upper sidewall design prevents the tire from getting stuck in mud and sand, and also guarantees a reliable performance while off-roading. Even better, the tread design elements like higher void ratio, open shoulders and staggered tread blocks enable the tire to self-clean – they eject mud and snow trapped between the tread elements to maximize constant road to tire contact.

The design also features stone ejectors that efficiently eliminate debris caught in the grooves – this improves protection against sharp, small rocks that cause substantial damage to the tread.

Milestar Patagonia tire’s specialized rubber compound is built to withstand tough off-road damage. It protects the casing from chipping, cuts and punctures that can put a stall on the off-roading experience. A 3-ply construction adds resistance and further protection against damage due to impact, and the sturdy sidewalls can be fully utilized when the tire is deflated in rocky environments to avoid side slippage.

The Milestar Patagonia off-road tire comes with a speed rating of Q (160 km/h) and it is available in rim sizes from 15” to 22”.
