J.D. Power: Michelin and Pirelli Are Tops

In their 2014 Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study, J.D. Power respondents ranked Michelin and Pirelli as the best tires in its four different vehicle segments.

Michelin ranked number one in the luxury segment with Pirelli taking second and Bridgestone coming in third.

For the passenger car segment, Michelin was first followed by Goodyear and Firestone.

In the truck/utility segment, Michelin once again ranked first followed by Bridgestone in second and BFGoodrich in third.

Finally, in the performance sport segment Pirelli took the top spot followed by Goodyear and Bridgestone respectively.

The rankings were based on more than 29,000 responses from new-vehicle owners of 2012 or 2013 model-year vehicles.
