Goodyear To Add Several New Tires To Its Lineup

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has recently announced the addition of several new tires it will be adding to its lineup in the coming months.

First up is the Goodyear Assurance All-Season, which is tentively set for an April 2014 release. Goodyear claims this new model is built for “consumers looking for confident all-season traction, long tread wear and great value.” A total of 41 sizes will be made available ranging from 14-18 inch rim diameters.

Features of the new Assurance All-Season include:

  • Multiple biting edges offering great all-season traction in wet, dry and snowy conditions
  • Wide tread grooves to help evacuate water and slush for enhanced wet traction
  • Optimized tread pattern, reducing road noise for a quieter ride
  • Large stable shoulder blocks for confident dry and wet handling
  • 60,000-mile tread warranty

Another new model that is set for release in the coming months is the Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude HT. This new model is already set to become original equipment on several new vehicles and will be initially offered in 5 sizes: 265/70R16, 255/65R17, 265/70R17, 265/60R18 and 275/65R18.

The Fortitude HT features a rugged looking tread and sidewall design; wider circumferential grooves and full depth sipes for increased traction on dry, wet and snow covered roads; an optimized tread pattern that reduces road noise, and a lower rolling resistance tread compound that should increase fuel efficiency.

Goodyear also announced that it will be rolling out the Dunlop Direzza DZ102. The company stated this new model will provide “a quieter, more comfortable ride, improved braking and enhanced water evacuation performance, all with the one-of-a-kind style that drivers will appreciate.”

The Direzza DZ102 will be launched in 47 different sizes ranging from 15-22 inches.

We will be providing detailed reviews on all of these new tires as they are released.
