The Wrangler Silent Armor Pro Grade is Goodyear’s tire solution for the demands of heavy-duty hauling, towing and other work loads both on and off-road. Built for drivers of heavy duty trucks, the Pro Grade is engineered to provide all-season traction and handling that you can depend on.

Goodyear has developed a unique all-season all-terrain tread compound that resists chips and chunks for added strength and performance when hauling or towing heavy loads. It’s designed to provide the ruggedness that the job demands.

The tread design is built for both on or off road use. On the highway it does well in both dry or wet road conditions. The independent tread blocks give the tire better overall stability and control. Added sipes provide off-road traction and grip through rain, mud, dirt, gravel, sand and other terrain. A computer-optimized tread design also enhances driving comfort and reduces outside tire noise, something that has been mentioned by many driver reviews on this tire.

Inside the tire you will find two high tensile steel belts to go with Goodyear’s Armor Zone protection. What this does is it adds a layer of DuPont Kevlar material in the tire to strengthen and protect the tread from punctures, bruises and other potential damage. The result is a tire that not only stays tough when you need it, but one that also provides a longer treadlife.

Goodyear stands behind this model with a 50,000 mile tread guarantee. The Pro Grade is available in either a black sidewall or one with raised white letters depending on size selected.

For anyone needing a heavy-duty tire that will tow or handle more extreme loads this Goodyear Silent Armor Pro Grade is not a bad option. The performance it delivers on or off-road is very good. You can also expect to get a comfortable and quiet ride is as well.

Treadwear is pretty good overall. One area we could see improving is with tractionon snow and ice. It’s lacking by far when compared to other tires like the DuraTrac. That said, this is a solid choice and we rank this model in the upper half of its class.

Warranty

A 6-year or 50,000 mile tread warranty comes with the Goodyear Pro Grade. Tire uniformity is warranted for 6-months or the first 2/32 inch of wear.

Materials and workmanship are guaranteed for 6-years and include free tire replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.

Goodyear provides a 2 year roadside service plan on this model, as well as their 30-day test drive guarantee. If you are not satisfied you can exchange the tires for another Goodyear tire.
