Fuzion SUV Tire Review & Rating

The Fuzion SUV is designed to deliver confident all-season highway performance for drivers of trucks, vans, crossovers and SUV’s. With its lower budget-friendly price, the SUV sports a more comfortable rideand a longer treadlife.

An all-season tread compound and symmetric tread pattern give this tire predictable traction and handling. The tires tie-barred shoulders are engineered to boost dry surface traction and cornering abilities, while a continuous center rib increases steering response and stability.

Fuzion SUV Tire Review

Wet traction is enhanced through the tire’s circumferential grooves that channel away water from under the tread. Added sipes around the tread blocks create biting edges for improved traction and grip on both wet pavement and snow covered roads.

Inside the tire you will find two steel belts that are nylon reinforced for added strength and durability. A polyester cord body further enhances ride comfort and promotes more even tread wear. Fuzion includes a built-in rim guard on the sidewall that protects wheels from curb damage and other obstructions. A 50,000 mile tread warranty is also included on this model.

Pros

  • Very good dry traction
  • Comfortable and quiet ride
  • Treadwear is better than many in this class
  • Priced low to fit most any budget

Cons

  • Would like to see a little better wet traction

Overall Thoughts

As a lower costing highway all-season tire, the Fuzion SUV certainly delivers solid performance in key areas. Traction on dry pavement is very good, as is braking, acceleration and cornering. You’ll find it is sure and predictable, which is appealing for an everyday driver. Wet surface handling is adequate, but we would like to see a bit of improvement, especially in regards to higher speed cornering on  highway ramps.

Expect a comfortable ride on this tire with road noise not being much of an issue. The tread is long lasting and Fuzion includes a 50,000 mile warranty as well.

Overall, this is a solid performing budget-friendly option for pickup/SUV owners.

  1. I used a pair of these tires for a budget custom build. They were one of the only brands that offered the size I needed in a non aggressive AT tread pattern (Going for a hot rod “Bigs ‘n’ Littles look”). At first, they were great tires. After about 4,000 miles, they started to develop a bad vibration. I took the truck to 3 separate tire shops and had them balanced, with no change. I’m a mechanic by trade, and have thoroughly diagnosed the issue… it’s not a bearing, axle, drum, wheel… the actual tire itself is out of round. I was encountering a 2nd order vibration, that felt exactly like the truck was going to spit the driveshaft out going down the freeway. With the rear of the truck lifted and the tires spinning, I measured the run out of the wheels, which was acceptable, but the tread on the tires had easily .25-.40″ visible runout. Maybe I just got a bad pair of tires, but I’m now going to try to get them replaced under warranty (about 5,000 miles after purchase). I’d be very careful with these tires, be aware of the quality.

  2. Had GOODYEAR on my F150 new from the factory, barely got 25,000 miles out of them , 95% on paved roads. Bought a set of Fuzion SUV tires as replacements. Now have 55,000 miles on the truck, 30,000 miles on the Fuzions. They look great, have worn great and I have had no issues with them. To me they are not noisy at all but then I’m use to aggressive tread designs on my 4 X 4.
