Firestone Winterforce 2 UV Tire Review & Rating
The Firestone Winterforce 2 UV is one of the latest editions to the Firestone line of studdable winter tires. Built for pickup truck, CUV and SUV owners, the Winterforce 2 UV is designed to deliver dependable traction and handling when driving on dry, wet, icy and snow-covered surfaces.
Featuring the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) emblem, the Winterforce 2 UV sports a directional tread pattern to go with an advanced cold weather rubber tread compound, which grips the road even in very cold temperatures.
Full-depth high density sipes around the tread, open shoulder slots and wider lateral grooves provide added traction on snow and ice, as well as enhanced braking and acceleration abilities. Wide circumferential grooves help with grip on wet and slush covered road surfaces, while also providing better resistance to hydroplaning.
Firestone has given this winter tire the ability to accept TSMI #11 silver-colored metallic winter studs in the event you need even greater traction in rough winter weather conditions.
Two steel belts and a polyester casing add to this tires’ strength and help improve overall ride quality. Firestone offers a number of 15-18 inch sizes, and all sizes have an S-speed rating. A limited tread warranty is also included.

The Firestone Winterforce 2 UV is a new for 2017 studdable winter tire that is receiving high praise by many pickup truck, CUV and SUV owners. It’s still a bit too soon to determine just how good this tire will wear over time, but the initial signs are good.
Owners have commented that there is a noticeable difference in handling, traction and braking when they have fitted this winter tire. It’s also been noted that this is a very quiet, smooth and stable tire, which is not always the case with winter tires. Braking and cornering have also proven to be precise and smooth.
