Falken Eurowinter HS439 Tire Review & Rating

Falken has designed the Eurowinter HS439 winter tire to safely take drivers of all types of sporty coupes and sedans through the most challenging of winter weather conditions. With high performance handling and traction, and a long treadlife, the Eurowinter is engineered for snow, ice, slush, sleet, freezing rain and below zero weather.

An all-new silica tread compound and asymmetrical tread pattern provide maximum flexibility in the coldest of conditions. Four wide high-volume circumferential grooves evacuate water, slush and packed snow for better handling and added grip which inspire confidence when driving in harsh conditions.

Multi-angled sipes provide more bite on snow, sleet and ice covered roads. That said, the Eurowinter also provides solid performance on dry, cold road surfaces as well. The tread design enhances cornering maneuverability and quickens steering response, evidenced by the availability of up to a V-speed rating.

Falken has priced the HS439 low when compared to other higher end winter tires, while still maintaining the high performance standards you would expect.

This Falken winter tire offers surprisingly good performance and comfort. The traction and handling in all kinds of winter conditions is very good. It gives you confidence in every situation. Ride comfort is also nice on this tire. Yes, there is a little added road noise on cold dry pavement, but this is a winter tire after all.

If you are looking for good performance and a cheaper price, this is an excellent choice. If you want the highest performance at a premium price, the Blizzaks may be your better option. Overall, this model ranks high on our list of snow tires.
