Falken Ziex ZE950 A/S Tire Review & Rating
Falken’s newest tire in its lineup, the Ziex ZE950 A/S, sports the latest in technology and design for drivers of sport coupes, sedans and crossovers. Built for high performance all-season driving, its host of on board technology is designed to enhance mileage, handling and comfort.
A new silica tread compound and asymmetric tread design combines with Falken’s Dynamic Range Technology. The result is increased grip and traction on dry, wet and even snow covered road surfaces. Added Canyon Sipe Technology delivers more accurate and faster braking with even tread wear.
For driving in wet conditions the wide circumferential grooves get rid of water fast to avoid hydroplaning. The tires are M+S rated for winter conditions and indeed, driving in light snow is not an issue with this tire. It features wide angled tread slots that pack snow into the center of the tire and allows for more traction and safer driving.
Inside the tire are two steel belts with a polyester cord body that adds strength and stability. The Ziex ZE950 A/S are available in a wide range of 15 to 20 inch sizes and come with either an H, V or W-speed rating. Falken also includes up to a 65,000 mile tread warranty.

Overall Thoughts
Finding a tire to perform across a wide variety of conditions is not always easy, however the Ziex ZE950 AS manages just that and provides strong traction and grip in wet, dry and snowy conditions. Steering is quick and responsive, and the tires handle very well.
One area of concern with this model is a little extra road noise on uneven pavement. To be fair, this is an issue for many tires on rough or grooved pavement. Overall, we really like this new tire from Falken. It has a good warranty and the value for the performance you get is excellent.

Warranty
Falken Tires includes a 65,000 mile tread warranty on H and V speed rated tires, and a 45,000 mile warranty on W rated models. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first 2/32 inch of wear.
Materials and workmanship are backed for the life of the tire down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth. Free tire replacement is provided for unserviceable defects during the first 2/32 inch of wear. Falken prorates out the amount for the remaining tread depth, down to the last 2/32 inch.

I loved these tires till they got to the wear bars. So loud you can’t have a conversation in the car. I don’t think I have 40k miles on these tires. All highway. I’m switching brands but for the price ($300 for 4) they were a good value.
I just ordered my 5th set of these tires. The smooth wear pattern is unbelievable. No feather edging. 40,000 miles on this last set, almost down to wear bars. 2 weeks ago I drove through Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia in torrential rain and at highway speeds my traction light never came on on my Audi A4 Quattro. How torrential, a car driving in front of me about 200 feet away was only visible when his brake lights came on!
Bought a set of 4 for my 07 Honda Fit sport and and then took a long trip 1000 mls in one week quieter than any tires I’ve ever had and she has 130,000 miles on her and the rain I’m way more comfortable than any tire I’ve ever had so far it’s been a month so I feel comfortable promoting this tire
It’s not the tire, it’s probably in your front suspension/steering components
Bought a set of 4 in December 2018. The fronts had 7000 miles of even wear. They failed state inspection. Falken offered a lousy 25% warranty. Not happy at all. Beware.
These were on my 2010 Toyota Venza AWD I just acquired in July and they are really good tires so far. Haven’t been in snow yet but after driving in the recent heavy rains with no problems at all I feel very confident. Had a nice long road trip a few weeks ago w 4 adults and they performed wonderfully on the highway. Only thing I don’t care for is the low profile as I feel they give the vehicle too much road feel, but part of that may be the AWD of the Venza. (Not as noticeable with more people in the car.) They do look very nice on this Venza and I will keep them at least until they wear out.
Does anybody have any thoughts on putting this tire on an all wheel drive Ford Edge? Pep Boys recommends this tire for the Edge, yet I am seeing that this Tire is more for a passenger vehicle.
I think you would find them highly agreeable. You could do a lot worse. What about the BF Goodrich tire in the same class? Anyone with info on those tires?
I just bought a falken tire the newest one the ZE950 so far I have no complain very nice in dry and wet handling. I not yet try in snow.
