Falken Introduces The Ziex ZE-914 EcoRun Tire
Feb 2013 – Falken Tires has unveiled its new Ziex ZE-914 EcoRun as the newest member the Ziex tire lineup. Builtto fit smaller compact cars, hybrids, and electric models, the ZE-914 features the latest in fuel efficient tiretechnology.
According to Falken, tests show this new model having 20% less rolling resistance than its ZE912 tire. AndrewHoit, vice president of marketing at Falken Tire stated “As a summer eco tire, the Ziex ZE914 EcoRun strikes aperfect balance of fuel efficiency without compromising performance.” (Source)
Some of the features of this summer driving tire include:
A silica-enhanced tread compound that includes Falken’s lower rolling resistance PCR LRR technology forincreased fuel efficiency.
An asymmetrical tread pattern and larger outside shoulder blocks for enhanced dry traction and cornering grip,as well as added steering response.
Four wide circumferential grooves for evacuating water from under the tread and reducing the risk ofhydroplaning.
Currently, the ZE914 is available is 14 sizes ranging from 15-18 inches.
