Dunlop Signature CS Tire Review & Rating

The Signature CS from Dunlop is built to provide all-season touring performance along with a smooth and quiet ride. Designed for drivers of all types of light duty pickups, crossovers, minivans and SUV’s, the CS features excellent traction on dry, wet or light snow covered roads.

An all-season tread compound and Multi-Pitch Tread Design Technology combine to virtually eliminate outside road noise for a more quiet ride quality. The symmetrical tread pattern and continuous center rib enhance steering response and provides added stability at higher speeds.

Four circumferential and unique Evaqua grooves channel water away from the tread for increased wet traction and hydroplane resistance, which this tire does very well. Added sipes around the tire give it biting edges for enhanced grip on snow and ice.

Inside the tire you will find two steel belts that use VersaLoad technology, as well as Jointless Band technology that help the tire maintain its shape throughout the speed range and provide more consistent handling and performance. A polyester cord body further increases ride comfort and treadwear. Sizes are available from 16-19 inches, and Dunlop provides a 60,000 mile tread guarantee on this tire.

Overall Thoughts

The Signature CS surprised us with how well it performs. Dry and wet traction on this touring all-season tire is outstanding, which is an area often praised by other reviews. The way it grips the road in year round conditions inspires confidence behind the wheel and makes driving more enjoyable. Steering is responsive and provides good feel as well.

One area that could be improved on would be cornering performance. Although adequate, we are more spirited drivers that tend to push the limits a bit. That said, what this tire lacks in higher speed cornering it more than makes up for in ride comfort. We’d argue that this Dunlop model rivals the Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia and Pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S as the most comfortable tire in this class. It provides a smooth ride without the road noise.

Treadlife is exceptional with this tire. Overall, the CS is an excellent performing tire that is also priced to save you some money over a few of the other leading competitor tires. Dunlop has definitely put out a nice tire in this model.

Warranty

Dunlop provides a 6-year or 60,000 mile tread warranty on the CS. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for one-year or the first 2/32 inch of wear.

Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.

You will also receive a 2-year roadside service plan and a 30-day customer pledge agreement whereby you can exchange the tires if you are not completely satisfied.
