Used mainly as original equipment on many pickups, crossovers and SUV’s, the Grandtrek ST8000 from Dunlop features all-season traction with an emphasis on performance. Engineered for drivers who want a low-profile aggressive tread design, the ST8000 includes some of Dunlop’s latest tire technology.
An all-season tread compound and symmetric tread pattern combine with a center rib to provide added stability and steering response on dry or wet surfaces. The staggered grooves enhance cornering grip, which is a plus for this tire.

Four circumferential grooves and a staggered shoulder design add wet pavement traction and handling. Multiple sipes around the tread add more bite on wet and snow covered roads. The grip in the snow good, but certainly not great. A computer-optimized tread design also lowers outside road noise for enhanced driving comfort.
Inside the tire you will find a steel belted construction for added strength and durability throughout the speed zone. It also promotes more even tread wear. The ST8000 is made available in 20 inch sizes.

This ST8000 provides some very impressive performance for those looking for dry and wet grip. For more spirited drivers you will enjoy the cornering performance this model provides.
Steering response is excellent, as this tire gives you excellent feel and allows you to be in control at all times. Our only big issue with this tire is the treadwear. We feel it could be improved upon, although it is not the worst by any means. That said, we really like this Dunlop tire and rank it in the top half of its class.

Warranty
Dunlop does not have a mileage tread warranty on this model. However, there is a 6-months or first 2/32 inch of wear guarantee on the tire’s uniformity.
Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free tire replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
