Carlisle Radial Trail RH Trailer Tire Review & Rating
The Radial Trail RH from Carlisle is designed to meet the demanding needs of those who are looking for a heavy-duty trailer tire to haul boats, vehicles, towable RV’s and cargo. The tread compound features Carlisle’s unique HeatShield and DuraTrail technology that are developed to provide increased heat resistance and load carrying capacity.
The heat resistant polymers in the tread compound prolong endurance and provide optimal performance in higher temperatures. In fact, Carlisle claims that independent lab testing shows the Trail RH to outperform four other leading trailer tire brands in heat resistance testing.
Higher ply ratings in the sidewall give this tire the added strength to resist harmful UV rays and ozone deterioration, as well as resistance to bruising due to obstructions. The tire’s radial construction and variable pitch tread design make the tire more quiet, as well as lengthen tread life.
Inside the tire you’ll find two high strength steel belts to go along with microfiber reinforcement. The result is added strength and stability for hauling heavy loads with less trailer sway on the highway. Carlisle offers sizes ranging from 12-16 inches and load ratings up to an E.
Overall Thoughts
The Radial Trail RH does a good job at resisting the heat buildup that plagues so many trailer tires. In addition, we like the tread makeup and design of this tire. It’s strong, quiet and provides a decent tread life. Overall, we give it a rank in the upper half of the trailer tire class.

I purchased this tire and got only 2k miles on the tire and had a major blow out with damage to the trailer. I have photos. Will not buy this tire again. Radial Trail RH is a waste of your money.
