BFGoodrich Traction T/A T Tire Review & Rating

The Traction T/A T from BFGoodrich combines sporty handling performance with standard all-season traction for drivers of sport coupes, sedans and minivans. Built to provide a smooth comfortable ride, the Traction T/A T is also engineered for a longer lasting treadlife.

Inside the tire you will find two high-tensile steel belts that are nylon reinforced through BFGoodrich’s Equal Tension Containment system. The end result is a tire that provides added strength and durability. A polyester cord body further enhances ride quality. BFG includes a 70,000 mile tread guarantee on this model.

Pros

  • Dry and wet traction is very good
  • Tires provide excellent grip and stability when cornering
  • Comfortable ride
  • Better than average tread life

Cons

  • Deep snow and ice handling could be just a little better
  • Lower the road noise

Overall Thoughts

BFGoodrich has made a very good tire in the Traction T/A T. As a basic all-season model it provides excellent dry and wet traction. The steering is crisp and responsive, while cornering grip and overall stability is very nice as well.

Handling in winter conditions is not that bad, but don’t expect snow tire like performance in deeper snow and ice. That said, the tire does well in lighter amounts of snow. Ride quality is so-so on this tire. The ride is comfortable unless you’re going over bumps and pavement imperfections. Road noise is an area where we would like to see improvement in, and it gets louder as the tires wear. Tread life is long lasting, which is pointed out in many driver ratings and reviews.

Overall, the Traction T/A T is an average all-season performer. We would suggest going with the Advantage T/A Sport for a BFG model, or moving over to the Michelin Premier A/S, Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring among others.
