The new Continental TrueContact has been built with the latest in tire technology to provide a stable and consistent driving experience in all types of weather and road conditions. Designed for use on coupes, sedans, minivans and smaller crossovers, True Contact tires utilize all of Continental’s newest tire technology to deliver consistent and longer lasting performance.
To provide industry leading treadwear, fuel efficiency, and traction on both dry and wet roads, TrueContact tires are constructed using an all-season tread compound that features Continental’s Tg-F Polymers and +Silane additives.
This high-performance compound is further molded into an optimized symmetric tread pattern that allows the tire to have continuous tread contact on the road. This continuous contact allows for enhanced steering response and handling.
While traction and handling are excellent on dry pavement, TrueContact tires really shine when driving in wet or snowy conditions. Continental uses a siped intermediate tread block and their own patented Traction Grooves to provide additional gripping ability in the worst of weather conditions. This is one of the few all-season tires that offers better than average performance when winter turns nasty.
Ride comfort is another area that Continental paid particular attention to. A unique comfort band system significantly increases ride comfort and smoothness while noise and the effect of vibrations are reduced as well.
The tire is built using an internal structure that utilizes twin steel belts reinforced with a spirally wound polymide that is completely joint-less. It provides added strength and durability, as well as a more uniform ride and longer lasting treadlife.
The TrueContact is available in a range of 15 to 19 inch sizes, and speed ratings of T and H. There is also up to a 90,000 mile tread guarantee depending on the tire’s speed rating.

As far as tire specialists go, Continental is among the world’s best. With a long history of producing quality tires, the TrueContact is no different. It’s well-designed and provides quality traction, grip, and performance in all conditions. With special features to deal with snow and winter weather they can confidently be used throughout the year as well.
Expect to find a smooth and comfortable ride, and a nice warranty as well. This is one of the few tires that really do not have any glaring negative issues. It’s easy to see why other leading consumer publications are also impressed with TrueContact tires.
Overall, if you want a high quality all-season tire at an affordable price then this is an excellent choice. It ranks among the top tires in this class.

Warranty
Continental provides up to a 90,000 mile tread warranty (depending on speed rating of tire) on the TrueContact. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for one-year or the first 2/32 inch of wear.
Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is then given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
A one-year or first 2/32 inch of wear road hazard warranty is also given on this tire, and a 30-day customer satisfaction trial period is provided as well. If you are not completely satisfied you can exchange the tires for another Continental tire.

So far so good with these tires.They,re on my CRV and they seem to suit it well.Two month,s in and no problems.
I just purchased these tires, the tire says 51 psi, the car door for my 2015 Nissan Altima says 33 …. what should they be inflated to for a smooth ride?

Bought four tires for my subaru outback at sam’s club and found that one of them needed 7 ounces of weight to be balanced ! They replaced it. A lot of bother and inconvenience for something that should not have gotten by final inspection ! Very disappointing !

I have been very happy with these on my 2007 Prius (commuter car) for several years. First set I purchased four. The Prius wears out front tires due to regenerative braking and without rotating I get around 45k on front pair before I feel any change in performance and want to replace. The rear tires put on at same time as the front are still pristine, so I purchase two new tires to match, rotate the rear to the front and have the two new mounted at the rear. I then get around another 35k on the pair that were rotated from rear to front before I consider repeating the rear to front rotation and two new at rear. Tires have always worn evenly, aren’t noisy and make the Prius handle well and feel responsive, which other tire brands never provided. I’m now looking to put tires on my wife’s Lexus RX 350. I may check out Continental’s new “Pure Contact” but will probably stick with the tried and “True Contact”
Just spent several hundred dollars to REPLACE these Continentals which had a 90,000 mile tread rating and were dangerously lacking in tread after only 26,000 miles. No unusual wear, kept up on inflation every month, not a crazy driver. This is criminal.
We have these on our 2016 Subaru Forester and with around 20k miles need to replace. The tire shop steered us towards these though I initially wanted to get Michelin Defenders which an earlier incarnation of those are still working well on our other car. Not sure yet if we’ll just get a credit since the wear is uneven. Literally the right rear is probably 2/32nds all the sudden. Talking to a few different tire shops and looking online a bit people complain about the right rear tire in particular wearing down on many Subarus. It seems most of the power from Subaru’s AWD is coming from that tire or so the tire shops seem to think. Also one shop mentioned they have been seeing new Subarus under warranty still with bad alignment issues. The roads are rough here for sure so that is probably an issue anyway, but one car mentioned had around 15k and the dealer had to cough up new tires for the guy. After an alignment he seemed to do much better.
In retrospect our OEM Geolanders also wore particularly on the edges on the right hand side, but at least we got about ~35k out of those!
I think “your mileage may vary” on these tires. They are rated well but the thought by one tire shop is to maybe get a stiffer tire or one with a stiffer edge for our application. Our tire shop would like to sell us Yokohama YK740 GTX tires but at $160 a pop that is more than we’d like to spend even if we are able to get a credit. They claim their customers are doing well with those in our area.
One tire shop we spoke to also said to not really live by the stated mileage on tires and that for AWD vehicles you are likely only going to get 50% of the mileage. Perhaps some people are able to get their mileage out of the tires, but it seems like in our area that is a pipe dream. Many people run snows and regular tires – if we had space and funding that is what we would do!
I to have to agree with the other satisfied customers. I purchased these for my wife’s Odyssey about two years ago. The tires held up very well… in dry conditions and especially in these ctrl florida summer storms. Handling was well, noise levels were low, awesome Gas mileage, tread wear definitely held up and now it’s time to purchase tires and we will be purchasing another set of these…

Bought Continental TrueContact for my 2012 VW Passat this past fall. First thing I noticed was almost no road noise like previous tires. Now after gruelling January here in Michigan, I am thrilled with them. Excellent grip driving and stopping ability. I highly recommend these tires. Discount Tire didn’t have them in stock, but they ordered them for me.

I bought these for my Forester. They are great in the snow. My only problem is I only have little over 21,000 miles on them and I need new tires. Unfortunate I cannot find my receipt to see if there is any warranty on them left.

Have had this tire on my Odyssey and it exceeds it’s competitors in all aspects! Michelin, Bridgestone, nor Goodyear even come close and you pay much more for far less performance, especially for the Michelin. The True Contact is an exceptional tire in a class all by itself. Something is wrong with the driver or the car if negative performance is experienced!
ContiProContact came on my 2013 Passat. Now have 52,000+ miles with 7 to 8/32 tread left across the tire. Great tires. Very smooth. I have rotated them at least as often as VW recommended, and DO change the direction or rotation, not just back to front. Over the years I have been sold on Michelin. But in pricing replacements for these tires, it would cost about $90 per tire more to buy Michelins. I would say Continentals are a lot more for your $$$$.
I can’t find these tires anywhere…have they been discontinued?
They can be harder to find in stock at times. Currently, you can find them available at Discount Tire.
You have to call around to find a warehouse or a tire dealership that has a distributor that has them in stock. A bit harder to find and not always readily available. Check your local Discount Tire, Pep Boys, Mavis tire, Mr. Tire etc.

Got a 2013 Subaru outback continental came on them no problems at all I got 52000 miles going to get another set to go back on my outback. Smooth ride good gas mileage good tires. Hope this is helpful.
