Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport Tire Review & Rating
The Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport is the company’s high performance summer tire for drivers of sport pickups and SUV’s. Used as original equipment on a variety of name brand vehicles, the HP Sport is engineered to provide high performance traction and handling to go with enhanced ride comfort.
A silica tread compound that also utilizes L.L.Carbon black for increased wet traction, combines with a symmetrical tread pattern and UNI-T technology to give the tire increased handling and cornering power. The tire’s two continuous center ribs and larger shoulder blocks further add to cornering performance and stability, which is often cited by other driver reviews online as being among the best in its class.
Four circumferential grooves and multiple laterals grooves deliver increased handling on wet road surfaces. The circumferential grooves also reduce the risk of hydroplaning by evacuating water from under the tread surface.
Inside the tire you will find two steel belts that are reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon for added strength and durability. A polyester cord body adds to the overall ride comfort. Bridgestone offers sizes from 16-20 inches, and in V, W or Y-speed ratings.

There is a reason why this tire is widely used as original equipment on a variety of sport trucks and high performance SUV’s. It has the performance and ability to meet the needs of demanding drivers for the most part. It is a well-balanced tire that delivers both traction and cornering power that more spirited drivers look for, while also providing added comfort and manners that other drivers also like to see in a sport tire.
Steering response is what we would expect in a higher performing tire like this. It’s crisp and provides good feel whether going straight down the highway or taking corners around town.
The only real drawback with this tire is that some drivers have said the treadlife is shorter than expected. We haven’t seen that problem ourselves, but much of it will always depend on driving habits.
Overall, the Dueler HP Sport is a mid-upper level of its class performer and a nice option in HP summer tires for your truck or SUV.

Materials and workmanship are warranted for 5-years and include free tire replacement during the first 3 years. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
