Vision Tires Load Boss Trailer Tire Review & Rating

The Vision Load Boss trailer tire is designed to haul heavier loads in even the most extreme load conditions. Built for trailer use only, the Load Boss has been around a number of years now.

A tougher tread compound and rib tread design combine to provide a smoother and more stable ride control, as well as a longer overall tread life. This design further enhances heat dissipation at higher speeds, which is critical for any trailer tire.

The tire’s 14-ply rated sidewall is among the highest for any tire designed for trailer use. It protects the tire against damaging ozone, UV rays and other weather related effects when sitting idle, while also increasing resistance from bruising and punctures on the road.

Inside the tire you will find two steel belts with a nylon cap ply for added strength and durability. This also enhances tire stability against trailer sway. The Load Boss features a maximum load capacity of 3750 lbs. at 110 psi.

Overall Thoughts

With the extended load carrying abilities of the Vision Load Boss, this is a formidable trailer tire for those needing the added capacity. It rides smooth and road noise is not an issue for this tire.

On the other hand, we’ve heard several tire owners speak of some of the same issues that plague trailer tires in general… tread separation and tire failure. In our opinion this is an issue that needs to be addressed by Vision. That said, to be fair we’ve also heard from others who have not had the same experiences.

Overall, we rank this model in the mid to lower half of the trailer tire class. We still feel Maxxis is the number one choice in this category.
