BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2
Built tough to withstand all the abuse you want to throw its way, the BFG Mud Terrain KM2 is one
of the most popular M/T tires sold today. Expect to find excellent off-road traction in all types
of terrain. This tire also sports very good manners when driving on-road, with very good marks for
wet and snow handling as well. Treadlife is longer than you might expect, making this tire a solid
Playing in the mud is a lot of fun on this Nitto Trail Grappler M/T. With a tough 3-ply
construction and aggressive good looks, it's easy to see why drivers enjoy taking their trucks or
SUV's out for a day on the trails, river beds and other areas. The tire goes through it all and
keeps you in complete control. Taking this tire for a spin down the highway is a very pleasant, and
quiet, experience. Overall, one of the best MT tires available.
Featuring very good off-road performance, the MT KL71 from Kumho is another good choice for
drivers who also want a tire that can be driven a fair amount of time on-road and not sound like a
tank going down the road. Expect to find dependable traction on all types of terrain to go along
with a more comfortable ride.
The Destination M/T from Firestone makes the list due to its excellent performance both on and
off-road. Mud and snow traction is outstanding, and this tire cleans out as well as any other model
in this class. On road comfort and drivability is equally impressive. With a longer than expected
tread life, this tire is a serious contender for anyone looking for new MT tires.
The Discoverer Radial STT from Cooper may be relatively unknown to some, but with outstanding
off-road traction and performance, this tire sits among the top models in this class. Its
Armor-Tek3 Carcass Construction gives it the strength to easily climb rocks and go through deep mud
and other terrain all day long without leaving you sitting flat. As other drivers have mentioned…

Providing exceptional performance in the mud, the Yokohama Geolandar M/T Plus not only goes
through deep mud, sand, gravel and other terrain, but it cleans-out very well. Driving through rain
and snow on-road is above average for this model, and treadlife is very good as well.
Going through deep mud and climbing rocks is about as good as it gets on the Nitto Mud Grappler.
This tire simply flat out performs in all types of off-road terrain. Its huge side lugs provide
outstanding cut protection, while the high void ratio allows this tire to self-clean with the best
in its class. Overall, this is a tire that doesn't leave anything on the table.
Coming in with excellent off-road performance at a lower budget-friendly price point, the
Hankook MT RT03 has a lot to offer serious driving enthusiasts. It maneuvers through deep mud and
other terrain with the best in its class, while also providing more than competent manners on the
road. You can expect a good tread life and lower road noise on this model.
The Grabber from General has one thing going for it that no other MT tire has… a uniquely
attractive red lettering sidewall. We've heard some drivers have bought this tire based on that
alone. Seriously, red letters aside this tire is also full of reliable performance on and off-road.
The 3-ply carcass and Strake & Chamfer tread pattern add strength to the sidewalls and
increased traction to the tread. Overall, the Grabber is a top ten MT tire.
