Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S Tire Review & Rating

As an all-season addition to Pirelli’s P Zero lineup, the P-Zero Nero M+S is engineered to not only provide all-season handling and traction, but also to give high performance cornering grip and lightning fast steering response.

Pirelli has poured in a lot of new technology on the PZero M+S, beginning with their MIRS manufacturing process. In simple terms it is their most advanced tire design and production system which creates tires that are more uniform and consistent.

Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S Tire Review

The tire itself sports an asymmetric tread design to go with its silica infused tread compound. This gives the tire added traction in all-season road conditions. Dry surface handling and grip are increased due to the continuous center ribs and larger outside shoulder blocks.

Pirelli utilizes circumferential grooves and shoulder grooves around the tread to expel water from under the tire when the roads turn wet or slushy. This also helps in reducing the risk of hydroplaning.

Inside the tire you will find two steel belts and a polyester cord body that provide added strength and stability to the tire at higher speeds. It also helps increase overall tire life.

Pros

  • Dry traction and cornering grip is above average
  • Excellent steering response and control
  • Tire is quiet and very comfortable on all types of roads

Cons

  • Wet surface handling not as good as others in its class

Overall Thoughts

For an all-season tire, the PZero Nero M+S rides comfortably and has reduced noise levels like you would expect from Pirelli. We like the dry road traction and grip, and the steering response is quite good.

One area that is disappointing is the handling on wet roads. It’s subpar compared to several other competitor models. That said, if you live in an area that sees little rain then this will not be an issue. Overall, we rank this tire in the middle of the pack.
