Nexen Roadian HT SUV Tire Review & Rating
As a highway performance tire, the Roadian HT SUV from Nexen features an attractive tread design, solid all-season traction and a more quiet ride to go with its lower price point. Built for pickups, larger crossovers, SUV’s and vans, the HT SUV is available in a wide range of 15-18 inch sizes.
An all-season compound sports a wider tread channel design with multiple slots for increased traction and grip on all types of road surfaces, including some light off-road terrains. While not a dedicated off road tire by any means, it does deliver a more than adequate job in grass, gravel and dirt.
The concaved shoulders maximize cornering while a 5 random pitch tread design works to reduce road noise. Braking and acceleration performance is very good on dry roads with the HT SUV. On wet streets and highways the tire’s four circumferential grooves evacuate water from under the tire and reduce hydroplane risks.
Inside the tire you will find two steel belts with a polyester cord body for added strength and durability, as well as more even treadwear and a more comfortable ride quality. This Nexen model also features a 520 UTQG rating.

Overall Thoughts
It’s easy to overlook the Nexen Roadian HT SUV among the many choices in highway tires for your SUV or pickup, but this model provides pretty decent performance for a much lower cost than many competitors.
Traction and handling are very good on dry or wet surfaces, and ride comfort is better than average. Winter weather driving could be improved on, and tread life is not as good as we would like to see, but for the money this tire makes a nice option.

Warranty
Nexen provides a 60,000 mile tread warranty on the HT SUV model. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first 2/32 inch of wear.
Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and includes free replacement during the first 6-months or 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
