Milestar MS932 Sport Tire Review & Rating

The Milestar MS932 Sport tire is designed to provide dependable all-season traction, increased handling and cornering grip, and a comfortable ride. Built for drivers of all types of sport coupes, sedans, minivans, crossovers and SUV’s, the MS932 Sport has an attractive tread design, T, H or V-speed rating, and the availability of many different 14-20 inch sizes.

Rounded shoulders with larger tread blocks enhance dry pavement traction and provide increased cornering power. Many drivers have commented on this model handling well on the street, especially for such a lower priced tire.

Milestar MS932 Sport Tire Review

On wet roads, wide circumferential grooves and added sipes around the tread expel water from under the tire and reduce the risk of hydroplaning, which is a strength for this model. Traction in light snow is average, but this model was not built to tackle deeper amounts of snow and ice.

Inside the tire you will find twin steel belted construction for added strength and durability. It also gives more even tread wear and overall longer tread life. Milestar has priced this model low to fit budget-minded drivers.

Pros

  • Excellent dry and wet traction and handling
  • Quick steering response to go with solid cornering stability
  • Comfortable ride
  • Attractive tread design
  • Value for the money

Cons

  • Noise has been an issue for some drivers

Overall Thoughts

The MS932 Sport provides some very good traction and cornering performance for any sporty vehicle. Steering response is quick and the tire makes you feel in control whether it is on city streets or out on the interstate. Handling in the rain is also dependable on this model. The ride is comfortable and treadlife has proven to be quite good on this tire.

Road noise has been an issue with a few drivers based on reviews. The only other area of concern we have with this tire is the traction in deeper snow and on ice. That said, it’s a common issue with most every high-performance all season tire.

Overall this is a very good and solid performing tire that costs much less than other big name brands in this class.

  1. Tires handle fine. They do have more road noise than my factory stock tires. My car averaged 54 miles per gallon for 71,000 miles with factory stock tires. I was shocked that I am now averaging 48 miles per gallon with these tires. 48 mpg isn’t bad but significantly down from the factory tires

  2. I have a set on a 2006 Cadillac XLR , and I have no noise issue , they do handle very well ! I will say that about them ! They corner great, and smooth at any speed , and I still have yet to hear any kind of road noise from them !

  3. I bought a set of four to replace the stock tires on a 2013 Nissan Sentra. They look great and handle as good as tires that cost twice as much. They do make road noise. If you are looking for a cheap sport tire that can handle high speeds and handle nicely theese are for you. If you want a soft silent luxary tire look for something else beause you will not be satisfied with theese.

  4. I have owned a variety of tires on a variety of cars. These became my favorite tire after putting on my 07 Saab 93 Aero Sportscombi. Prior to these tires I went through 4 sets either with bad ride, road noise or quick wear. After putting these tires on the car they lasted me for 49K miles but winter was coming and the thread would’t help in the snow, so I got another all season tire and boy do I regret not buying another set of the Milestar 932. These tires are quiet, good ride quality, good in all season and lasted to the specific mileage. I recently bought another car and will be buying these tires once the OEM tires are worn out.

  5. never have I seen tires wear like this wearing out as quickly as they did. I did an alignment on the car and installed these tires that ran past wear indicators showing the glass liners at 13,000 miles. I had to replace them with another brand I could not trust milestar. Never again.

  6. My 2010 Lexus ES 350 came from the previous owner with Milestar 215 55 17, I just replaced them with 225 55 17. The slightly wider tire handles and looks better, and I haven’t noticed any of the noise that some people complain about.

    1. I never heard of a thumping noise from a tire, unless something is stuck in the tire or tread somewhere ! You will hear a whine or growl, depending on the style of tread, also how aggressive the pattern is and also the depth ! You will hear a very distinct growl while driving at highway speeds when you put a set of off-road tires on a truck , this has always been the case, but most people get used to it ! Besides they put a certain tire on for a specific reason, most of the time , and then they just deal with the after effects !

  7. I purchased 4 of these for my 2008 HHR. Was running Yokohama Avid Ascend, and they rode wonderful,

I had these Milestar 932 put on yesterday. The tires were inflated to over 40 psi,but even at that they rode great. Nice and smooth, and quiet. I lowered the pressure to around 35 psi. Drove on them to get some mower gas today over some rough streets I drive every day. They seemed to ride awesome! I had maybe 5 miles on them before taking a trip out of town today. The tires had inflated to 37 psi with the heating of the day vs the 31 psi which I had been running the Yokos.

Even with the higher psi,the Milestar tires were awesome! I had about 50 miles on the tires though when I noticed the ride was getting rougher already. Stopped and lowered the PSI to the same pressure that I had last run on the Yokohamas. Still didn’t help. I have driven the roads I drove today MANY miles on the Yokohamas, and the Milestars are way worse!

I have 100 miles on the Milestars, and they are already declining in ride quality. BIG disappointment after the initiial love of the tires. I was almost euphoric at first. You get what you pay for!!

  8. I put these on my 2005 Solara Convertible, and I don’t notice any additional tire noise even with the top dropped. I’m a little surprised at the handling quality. I didn’t expect a tire this affordable to compete with the Continental
Continental PureContact LS and Dunlop Signature HPs I have on my other vehicles. The Continentals are a high mileage tire and both they and the Dunlops handle only marginally better than the Milestars.

    1. Hey Kent, the Milestar MS932 Sport tires are really smooth. Was noise an issue for you like many others? Thanks for sharing your
      experience.

  9. I purchased these tires on the car I bought.
6/32″ on rear tires and 5/32″ on the front tires.
I dont hear any noise, at all from my 2012, crosstour.

THEY seem to handle well and I will be buying another set of these tires in the spring.
Can’t beat the price to quality ratio.

      1. Thanks for sharing your experience Troy! Noise has definitely been an issue with these tires. On the bright side, they do deliver a comfortable drive — your thoughts?

        1. 10/23/2020 I just had 2 new Milestar Sport tires put on the front of my 2008 HHR Chevy. I appreciated the reviews, and my mechanic said HE would use these tires on HIS car. Noise?? Ha! I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL and the OUTSIDE noise is greater than anything I hear from my new shoes on the car! FlyGirl

      1. I’d have to agree w/ Kent. I just had these tires installed on my fiancee’s Rogue and the noise, for me, isn’t worse than before. That car has always been very loud

  10. I just got these put on my 2012 Toyota Camry SE in size 225/45/18 and I must say for the price they are pretty good, as far as noise goes they are no louder then the Bridgestone Driveguard tires that were on it before these, but those tires were $200 a piece, I would definitely get these tires again based on the price, and the way they drive, I can not comment on the long hall though, as I have only had them on about two weeks…

  11. I put 4 of them on my’ 13 Taurus. I find no problem so far.
The guy talking about noise probably has a noisey car in the first place.

  12. These tires are very noisy. I’ve turned the radio very loud and can still hear them whining. I’ll never buy another set. It’s ashame. Because they are a really
    Good looking tire. I’ve told
My friends to stay away from them. Sometimes not wise to try to go cheaper.
