The Latitude Tour from Michelin is engineered to deliver all-season performance and comfort for drivers of all types of pickups, crossovers and SUV’s. Using the latest innovations in tire technology and safety, the Latitude Tour also sports a lower rolling resistance and a long lasting treadlife.
An all-season silica-based tread compound utilizes Michelin’s Green X technology and MaxTouch Construction to provide a wider contact patch and a lower rolling resistance for increased fuel efficiency. The tread construction also enhances stability and handling on dry or wet road surfaces.
Rounded and stable shoulder blocks combine with a continuous center rib to deliver more responsive steering and increased cornering performance, which is an area that many drivers have mentioned as being excellent. Wet handling is enhanced through the tire’s four circumferential grooves and added sipes around the tread. This helps channel away water from under the tread, as well as provide more bite on snow covered roads.
An acoustically tuned symmetric tread pattern lowers road noise and creates a higher level of ride comfort. Inside the tire you will find two steel belts that are nylon wrapped for added strength and durability, while the polyester cord body ensures increased ride comfort. Michelin backs this tire with a 65,000 mile tread guarantee, and has sizes available from 16-19 inches.

Overall Thoughts
Michelin has engineered a winner in the Latitude Tour for the most part. Not only is it one of the best performing tires in this class, but it is one of the safest truck/SUV all-season tires on the market today. Dry traction and braking are outstanding, and the tire’s cornering and steering response is equally impressive. It gives you a more confident feeling while driving, whether around town or out on the highway. Wet handling is quite good as well.
The one area where we believe there needs to be improvement in would definitely be traction on snow and ice. It simply doesn’t have the grip, braking or acceleration as the best tires in this class. Comfort is like what you would expect from a quality Michelin tire. The ride is smooth and road noise is minimal. We have heard some drivers mention a little noise as the tire wears down, but that is to be expected. Treadlife is very good, and is backed up with a 65,000 mile warranty.
Overall, this is mid-upper half of the pack performing tire. Unless you spend several months out of the year driving in harsh winter weather conditions, this model makes for a good choice in touring all-season truck/SUV tires.

Warranty
Michelin provides a 6-year or 65,000 mile warranty on this model. Mileage is reduced by one-half for rear tires is different from the front. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear.
Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
You will also find a 3-year flat changing service agreement and Michelin’s exclusive 30-day customer satisfaction guarantee.

Bought Michelin Latitude tires in 2020 at 58,000 miles on my Mercury Mountaineer and have been dealing with loud road noise at 63,000 as of Feb 2022. thought it was wheel bearing but was told it was my Michelin Tires and that something shifts in the tires sometimes on these Michelin tires. Unbelievable! Will never buy Michelin again.
Chevrolet Equinox had these tires as original equipment. Car now has 44K miles and the are worn out. I have always heard that Michelin tires were supposed to be the best on the market. I yave trouble with a tire with a 65K warranty wears out 20K miles sooner. And since I didn’t purchase them I cannot even get the pro rata refund. I think I will pass on Michelin this time
25,000 miles on these tires in 4 years and they are dry rotted. Belle Tire said this is common in Michigan weather. I am 63 years old and this wasn’t my first tire purchase, but it’s my first dry rotted tire experience and my last Belle Tire and/or Michelin tire purchase!
I have this model of tire on a 2014 Enclave. Thanks to rourine rotation they have worn evenly, but are being replaced with 67,000 miles on them. Because this tire is no longer widely available I bought Pirelli’s to replace them. I would have no qualms about buying this tire again, but as mentioned earlier they are not readily available.
I have a 2017 Ford Escape with Michelin Latitude tires. 47,955 km and I am told they are so worn by my Ford Dealership that it is unsafe to drive This is disgusting . These tires are rated for 65,000 miles. I will not buy Michelin Tires ever again.
When I bought 2017 GMC Terrain SLE. My Michelin Latitude Tours is nothing wrong and have 71,359 miles that’s looking good and a making good flexible comfort and riding. And never flat again. That’s making me a wonderful my life. I would like to buy again but can’t afford it. That’s a very expensive. I looks another tires for cheap around $150 dollars but I love it a very much but I am sorry. J appreciated to thank a very much!
My rave4 2017 has 29000 miles and it needs tires they wore evenly if they have a 65000 mile warranty why dont they replace them albert maldonado email pinoymex2000@yahoo.com
I question the 65,000 mile warranty…in kilometres that would be just over 100,000,
the brand new 2018 Ford Escape I purchased is fitted with Latitude Tours & at just over 16,000 kilometres the tires have already worn away between 2/32 & 3/32 of the tread depth. If they continue to wear away at this pace then at 48,000 kilometres the wear will be slightly over 6/32 & there will be less than 3/32 & that is almost on the wear bar.
Mtd with original Michelin tires with in couple of years start making noise , according to the dealer tires are bad but thread still 70% replaced all four tires same brand after year and half same problem with at least 80% thread
