GT Radial Adventuro AT II Tire Review & Rating

The Adventuro AT II from GT Radial features solid off-road performance in all types of terrains to go with dependable on-roads manners. Developed for drivers of light duty pickups and SUV’s, the AT II is engineered for year round traction and handling and a longer tread life.

A tough all-terrain tread compound is molded into a computer-optimized tread pattern with larger tread blocks for increased handling abilities. The balanced void ratio provides added wet pavement traction and reduces the risk of hydroplaning.

GT Radial Adventuro AT II Tire Review

Wider lugs and the tire’s open shoulder grooves enhance off-road traction in mud, sand and on rocks. The tread is designed to self-clean itself of mud, snow and small stones, and it does this quite well. Performance in the mud is very good on this tire.

Inside the tread you will find two steel belts with a nylon cap ply that add more strength and durability to the tire, as well as increased handling. A polyester cord body creates better overall ride comfort. The AT II is available in 15-16 inch sizes and comes in load ratings of up to an E.

Overall Thoughts

We were quite impressed with these AT II’s. They go through mud, dirt, sand, gravel, rocks and other terrain as well as some of the bigger name brands. They do a nice job of clearing the mud and the overall ride quality is pretty comfortable for an all-terrain tire. In addition, tire stability is another positive. Steering is responsive and you feel more in control on various terrains, as well as on the highway.

Sure, you can expect a little extra road noise, but the noise is not overbearing. Treadlife appears to be very good, with many reviews from other tire owners saying the same thing.

Overall this is a tire that performs well and provides good value for the money.
