The GT Radial Champiro 128 high performance all-season tire features the latest tire technology to enhance traction and handling, as well as ride comfort. Designed for coupes, sedans and crossovers, the 128 has been one of the company’s most popular tires.
An all-season silica enhanced tread compound and symmetric tread pattern increase traction on dry or wet pavement. A continuous center rib and larger shoulder blocks increase stability, cornering performance and add a more sticky grip. Interlocking tread blocks enhance braking and reduce stopping distances.
Four wide circumferential grooves and sweeping lateral grooves evacuate water from under the tire and reduce the risk of hydroplaning. An optimized tread design and variable pitch tread sequence lower outside road noise and increase riding comfort at all speeds.
Inside the tire you will find a steel belted construction that adds strength and durability, while promoting more even tread wear and a longer tread life. GT Radial backs this up with a 60,000 mile tread guarantee. The Champiro 128 comes with a V-speed rating.

Overall Thoughts
The Champiro 128 not only has an aggressive tread design, but it has traction and cornering performance to back up that look. Steering response is equally impressive and gives you a feeling of complete control on dry surfaces. Winter handling could be better, but then again this is not a winter tire.
The ride is comfortable both in town and out on the highway. Tread life is better than many other models in this class, and GT Radial backs it up with a nice warranty.
Overall, this is a very good low priced high performance tire.

Warranty
The Champiro 128 comes with a 60,000 mile tread warranty. A first 2/32 inch of wear is included on the tire’s uniformity.
Materials and workmanship are warranted for 5-years include free replacement during the first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or until the tire reaches the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
