Goodyear Wrangler ST Tire Review & Rating
With an all-season tread design, the Goodyear Wrangler ST is built to provide year round traction and handling for drivers of pickups and SUV’s. The ST is also used extensively as original equipment on several of today’s vehicles from manufacturers like Chevy, Dodge and others.
An all-season tread compound and symmetric design are made to provide dependable dry and wet traction. This design further enhances steering response and offers added stability and durability.
Three circumferential grooves evacuate water from under the tire and increase wet handling, while also reducing the risk of hydroplaning on rain covered road surfaces. The tread blocks are made to eliminate much of the outside road noise, which this model does a decent job at.
Inside the tire you will find two steel belts to go with a polyester cord body that work together to add strength and increase ride comfort. Goodyear has sizes from 16-17 inches available in the ST, and they include a limited tread warranty.

Overall Thoughts
There’s not a lot more we can say about the Wrangler ST that you can’t find in hundreds of other driver reviews. This just isn’t one of Goodyear’s better tires. Although it is used as original equipment on several vehicles, we would not recommend it as a replacement tire. We rank it towards the bottom of the truck/SUV all-season class.
There are a number of choices that will provide better performance such as the General Grabber HTS60, Yokohama YK-HTX or Michelin Defender LTX MS to name just a few.

Warranty
Goodyear provides a limited tread warranty on the ST. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is then given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
