Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Tire Review & Rating
The Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac has been designed to provide outstanding off-road performance, to go along with well-mannered on road traction and handling. Engineered for drivers of jeeps, SUV’s, trucks and commercial vehicles, the DuraTrac features the latest Goodyear tire technology in an effort to deliver the best possible all-around driving performance.
An all-season, all-terrain tread compound is created to withstand the tough day-to-day requirements for loading, towing and rugged off-road use. It is built to resist chips, tears and chunking, which it does very well. The symmetric tread design sports self-cleaning shoulder blocks that prevent the build-up of dirt, snow, gravel and mud for better performance and stability.
Performance on dry or wet pavement is enhanced through the high angled center tread blocks. These blocks increase traction and provide lateral stability. Snow traction is outstanding on this tire, and if you need studs for severe winter conditions, the tire is built to accept #16 metal studs.
Goodyear’s exclusive TractiveGroove technology is at the bottom of the tire’s circumferential grooves to provide additional biting edges for even greater traction. Reviews from other drivers state how well the DuraTrac handles itself in mud, snow and other terrain.
Inside the tire you will find two steel belts with nylon reinforcement to add strength and durability to the tire. It also increases tread life, which is another strong point for the Wrangler DuraTrac. Goodyear has included a rim lock to prevent wheel slip, and has also added a rim protector to help in eliminating accidental damage to your expensive wheels.
Goodyear offers a wide range of 15-20 inch LT and non-LT sizes, and load ratings of C, D and E. A limited tread warranty is also part of the package.

There is a reason why the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires are so popular… because they are among the best tires for anyone demanding serious on/off road traction and handling. This tire goes through everything and doesn’t let you down. Snow traction is excellent and comparable to any winter tire, despite the fact this is not a dedicated snow tire. Simply put, they handle, ride and look great on any vehicle, whether it be for work or play.
Tread life is excellent. Sure, due to the tread style you can expect to get a little more noise than you would with a highway touring tire, but it’s not a big issue.
Overall, if you want one of the better all-around off-road tires you can find, this is one of them.

Warranty
Goodyear includes a limited warranty on the DuraTrac. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for 6-months or the first 2/32 inch of wear.
Materials and workmanship are warranted for 6-years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.

Had Duratrac on my truck to got about 20,000 miles on mine and the back tires started to cup took back to dealer where I bought he told me it was my shocks were no good than a couple months later the front tire come apart right at the white lettering on side wall was told My tire pressure was to low white lettering were on the inside I couldn’t even see them peeling off until one went flat took them to 3 other tire dealers and was told they were blem tires they had cords on the inside with rubber on them from sidewall to sidewall with half inch space it was obvious they were blems but still dealer did nothing for me at all I will never get them again
I have 275/65-18 wrangler duratracs w/Kevlar on my 2011 f150…..I thought I would like these tires but they seem to ride rough to me. Yes I know it’s a truck, but if I had to do it over I probably go without the Kevlar.
I love my Dura tracks. No problem in snow or rain. These are awesome. They are on my 2017 SL 4×4 Titan
Duratracs came in new power wagon, they performed well on snow and ice. If you drive off pavement they absolutely SUCK! There wont be a stone on the road that they wont pickup and throw againt rockers, they even throw stones up thet land on hood, windshield and bed ! Never buy for off pavement!

I had the same problem with Kelly Safari TSRs and the semi truck infront of me and behind me didnt wiggle at all! Scary
My recent travel on highway during -1 degree, my car started floating left-right. I could see other cars were at good speed
with no issues. I had to bring my vehicle to an halt and stop the journey. I just put this tire 2 months back for Winter use. Is this performance issue of the tire?

I love these tires i have a set of 265 75 16 duratrac 10 plys on my toyota tundra i have 13 000 miles on them and they still look like new. My day has a 265 75 16 duratrac 6 plys on his tacoma and he had 64 000 miles and they still have about 30 percent tread left. But at about 40 000 miles he had something go throught the sidewall of his while offroad but who knows that could have been anything that did it. But the 3 origional ones have 64 000 miles on them
Tire cupping after 20000 miles tire tread still look new bought on new Colorado truck had front end checked everything fine tires just weren’t
If the cupping was on the edge of the front tires then that’s normal on trucks for a tire having individual blocks of tire tread rather than a continuous raised tread area around the circumference of the tire.
When gets around 1/4 ” tread tiees suck loose traction easy and dont even go fast in wet conditions
