Goodyear Integrity Tire Review & Rating

The Integrity from Goodyear has been around for many years and has been used as original equipment on a number of coupes, sedans, minivans and other vehicles over the years. With that being the case, this should be a high quality tire. (More on that in our overall thoughts)

The all-season tread compound and symmetrical tread pattern on the Integrity provide for a lower rolling resistance, which is created to improve overall fuel efficiency. Combined with a continuous center rib it also enhances dry surface traction and gives added steering response and feel.

Goodyear Integrity Tire Review

For wet weather performance, Goodyear has added circumferential grooves, independent shoulder blocks, and intermediate blocks that are siped to increase handling and traction on wet pavement as well as on snow. Another benefit to this is better ride comfort and less road noise.

Inside the tire you will find two steel belts and a polyester cord body that increases high speed stability and ride quality. Goodyear backs up the Integrity with a 50,000 mile treadlife warranty.

Pros

  • Low rolling resistance provides added fuel efficiency
  • Dry and wet traction is ok
  • Ride comfort is good
  • Low cost all-season tire

Cons

  • Tires tend to wear out far too early
  • Not the best in winter weather conditions

Overall Thoughts

The Integrity has been around for a number of years, however, it is beginning to show its age. Sure, the ride is good, and handling and traction on dry or wet pavement is about average. The lower rolling resistance should bump up a little more fuel efficiency. That said, even with these pluses we can’t recommend this model.

The poor treadwear is not something we can overlook. Review after review is filled with complaints on terrible treadwear with this tire. It’s hard to believe that Goodyear has not addressed the issue and made improvements. That said, the Integrity is priced low for those who want to save money on a new set of tires.

Overall, other Goodyear models such as the Assurance Touring would be a much better choice and still save you money at the same time.
