Fuzion ZRi Tire Review & Rating
The Fuzion ZRi is engineered to deliver high performance handling and traction, as well as exceptional cornering abilities for drivers of all types of sport compacts, coupes and sedans. With its Z-speed rating and aggressive tread design, the ZRi is built for summer driving use only.
A high performance tread compound that includes L.L. Carbon and silica, is molded into a directional tread pattern for increased traction on dry or wet road surfaces. Large shoulder blocks with lateral grooves enhance steering response and provide exceptional cornering grip.
Three wide circumferential grooves channel away water from the tread and reduce the risk of hydroplaning, while lateral grooves deliver increased wet traction and handling. The tire’s Computer Optimized Component System further improves wet or dry handling and promotes more even tread wear through refining of the casing shape, design and tire construction.
Inside the tire you will find two steel belts that are nylon reinforced for added strength and durability at higher speeds. A polyester cord body provides additional ride comfort. Fuzion includes a built-in rim guard to protect your wheels from accidental curb damage. The ZRi is available in a range of 15-20 inch sizes.
Pros
- Exceptional dry traction and cornering performance
- Steering is crisp and provides good feedback
- Very good wet handling
- Ride is comfortable
Cons
- A little extra road noise as the tire wears down
Overall Thoughts
This ZRi should provide you with some very good performance. Dry traction and cornering grip is solid on this tire, and comparable to some more expensive brand names. Steering is crisp and provides good feedback in accelerating and braking.
Ride comfort is good on this tire, although that is not what you buy a tire like this for. Road noise is low for the most part, although you may experience a little more road noise as the tire wears down. Treadlife is hit and miss depending on your driving habits. We say that because it will depend on how spirited you drive and how hard you push the tires. Some drivers have noted in reviews that they go through the tread much quicker than others.
Overall, we like this tire for what it provides… good performance and cornering capabilities at a lower budget-friendly price.
