The Precision Sport from Firestone is the company’s latest high performance all-season tire that is engineered to deliver year round traction and handling, while maintaining a more comfortable ride. Designed for drivers of sport coupes, sedans and other vehicles, the Precision Sport features a longer lasting tread life and solid winter handling abilities.
An all-season tread compound combines with a symmetric tread pattern and wider shoulders for enhanced dry surface handling. Zig-zag center tread blocks provide added steering response and feel, as well as delivering added cornering performance.
Two deeper circumferential grooves expel water away from the tread for increased wet surface handling, while notched lateral grooves and added 3-D sipes around the tire create biting edges for better traction and handling on wet, snow and icy roads. This is an area that this tire excels in among other tires in this class.
Inside the tire you will find two high tensile steel belts that are reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon and a polyester cord body that provide added strength and durability. It also increased ride comfort and a longer tread life. Firestone backs up the tire with a 40,000 mile tread guarantee. Sizes are available from 14-17 inches, and speed ratings of H and V.

Overall Thoughts
The Precision Sport provides some very good performance for the money. Expect the tire to handle well on dry and wet pavement. Cornering is solid and steering feel is adequate. One thing you’ll like if you live in an area that sees winter weather is the traction and handling on snow and ice. It is excellent for an all-season tire, and close to that of the Continental DWS06. Many other driver reviews mention this as well.
The one area we would improve upon would be road noise. This model has a little extra noise to it, although it is nothing severe. Tread wear is good for this tire.
Overall, the low price and good performance make this Firestone tire a nice value for anyone looking for a sporty budget-friendly all-season tire.

Firestone provides a 5-year or 40,000 mile tread warranty on this model. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first 1/32 inch of wear.
Materials and workmanship are warranted for 5-years and include free tire replacement during the first 3 years. A prorated amount is given for the remaining time period or down to the final 2/32 inch of wear.
