The Falken Ziex ZE-612+ attempts to build off the successful ZE-612 in providing proven year-round traction with sporty handling at a budget-friendly cost. Built for all makes and models of sport coupes and sedans, the ZE-612 Plus is offered exclusively from Discount Tire.Constructed with a unique high-tech tread compound, asymmetric tread pattern and wider contact patch, the ZE-612 plus is designed to deliver increased stability and handling response throughout the speed range. This is especially noticeable on dry pavement, which is an area the tire excels in.

The Ziex ZE612 Plus features high angle variable cross grooves and four wider circumferential grooves, which work to provide enhanced performance on wet road surfaces. These grooves do a solid job in channeling away water and reducing hydroplane risks. In addition, full-depth sipes throughout the tread surface are made to add more grip in snow and slush.

Another area that may surprise you somewhat when driving on the highway is how low the noise level is. Falken has optimized the tread pattern to effectively eliminate most of the road noise and create a more comfortable ride.

The Falken ZE-612 Plus includes a Rotation Wear Indicator system which provides a visual cue that assists you in knowing how the tires are wearing and how much tread is left. Inside the tire are dual steel belts for added strength and stability. There is up to a 65K tread warranty depending on the tire size chosen, with sizes ranging from 16-20 inches.

Falken’s ZE612 Plus is a nice choice in a budget-minded HP all-season tire. They deliver dependable traction on dry and wet roads, and handling/cornering grip is very good for the money.

Road noise is not a problem with this tire, and the ride is pretty comfortable as well. Where this model falls a bit short is winter traction, which is typical for an all-season tire, as well as the treadlife. Several drivers have made mention of a shorter than expected treadlife.

While not in the likes of other UHP all-season tires such as the Continental DWS06 or BFGoodrich Comp-2 A/S, this Falken tire provides top-notch performance as an entry-level tire. Highly recommended overall.

Warranty

Falken provides a 40,000 mile tread warranty on the ZE-612+. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first 2/32 inch of wear.

Materials and workmanship are backed for the life of the tire down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth. Free tire replacement is provided for unserviceable defects during the first 2/32 inch of wear. Falken prorates out the amount for the remaining tread depth, down to the last 2/32 inch.
