The Rocky Mountain ATS II from Falken is designed to provide more than capable off-road performance to go with dependable on-road traction and a longer overall tread life. Built for all types of pickups, crossovers and SUV’s, the ATS II features rugged good looks and load ratings up to an E.
A tough all-season, all-terrain tread compound is not only stronger and more durable, but it has been created to last longer than similar competitor models. This is a strong point for this tire. The four multi-angled tread grooves biting block edges give the tire increased traction on a variety of surfaces, while also evacuating more water, mud and snow from under the tread.
The tire’s five-rib tread pattern increases steering response and stability when driving on-road, and the computer optimized tread design reduces road vibrations and enhances ride quality. In fact, you’ll find this is a model that is one of the more quiet and comfortable tires in its class.
Inside the tire you’ll find two steel belted construction with a jointless nylon cap ply for added strength and durability. Sizes are available from 15 to 20 inches, and Falken includes a 50,000 mile tread warranty as well.

Overall Thoughts
We were pleasantly surprised with the performance of this new ATS II tire. When shopping for all-terrain tires, Falken is not one of the first brands that comes to mind, but this model has the performance that puts it up there with tires from BFGoodrich, Bridgestone and others.
Driving in lighter mud, sand, gravel, snow and other lighter off-road terrain is not a problem on the Rocky Mountain 2. It cleans itself out well and has the strength to keep going mile after mile, which Falken backs with a nice tread guarantee.
Overall, if a basic AT tire is what you need for weekend fun, as well as dependable everyday on-road performance, the ATS II is a tire that does that and more.

Warranty
Falken provides a 50,000 mile tread life warranty on the ATS 2. There is also a first 2/32 inch of wear guarantee on tire uniformity.
Materials and workmanship are warranted for 5 years and include free replacement during the first 2/32 inch of wear. The amount is then prorated for the remaining time period down to the final 2/32 inch of tread depth.
