Discount Tire And Michelin Win Prestigious Award

April 2015 – For the third straight year, both Michelin and Discount Tire have won the Harris Poll EquiTrend brand of the year honors from Harris Interactive Inc.

Harris Poll EquiTrend

EquiTrend is a premier benchmarking tool that analyzes, studies and compares brand health for over 1500 brands spread out across 170 different categories.

Under the Auto Service Center category, Discount Tire ranked the highest. It was rated above other brand names such as Goodyear Tire & Service, Napa AutoCare Center, NTB/National Tire and Battery and Valvoline Instant Oil Change among many others.

Michelin ranked higher than Goodyear, Pirelli, Bridgestone and BFGoodrich in the tire category.

Discount Tire, based out of Scottsdale, Arizona, says that the Harris Interactive poll study evaluates consumers’ engagement and offers a complete diagnostic of a brand’s position within and outside of its industry. The study gets its Equity score directly from consumer responses.

This marks the 27th year for this study, and results were based on 38,670 consumers age 15 and over who were surveyed between Jan and Feb of this year.

Discount Tire has won numerous other awards over the years for their high level of customer satisfaction and service. In 2014, Bruce Halle, owner of Discount Tire, was named Tire Dealer of The Year. The company currently has over 900 tire stores in the U.S., as well as an online website that ships tires to consumers around the world.
