Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 Tire Review & Rating

As Bridgestone’s most popular performance winter tire, the Blizzak LM-60 features the latest technology in providing excellent snow and ice traction for drivers of sport coupes and sedans, while also sporting high performance traction and handling.

The silica tread compound and directional tread pattern combine with 3-D zig-zag sipes to enhance grip on both dry pavement and on snow and ice covered roads. The tire’s independent tread blocks, circumferential grooves and sipes, evacuate water and slush from under the tire and reduce the risk of hydroplaning.

The tread compound is designed for better performance on dry pavement as well. Cornering is enhanced on this tire, as is the quicker steering response you’ll find. That’s the big difference between this Blizzak and the WS60 or WS70. They are built more for snow traction in the most severe of winter weather, where the LM-60 is built for snow traction, but also high performance driving.

Inside the tread you will find two steel belts that are reinforced with Bridgestone’s UNI-T Technology that features spirally wound nylon to give the tire added strength and durability, as well as better overall ride quality. The LM-60 is available in a variety of sizes from 17-20 inches. Bridgestone recommends installing the tire in sets of 4 to get the best performance and traction.

Overall Thoughts

Just as you would expect from Bridgestone Blizzaks, the LM-60 produces excellent traction and grip in winter weather conditions. Snow, slush and rain are not an issue with this tire. The only area we would like to see improvement in would be grip on freezing rain. Beyond that, this tire gives you a comfortable ride and noise is minimal. Overall, if winter high performance is what you need, this tire delivers.
