Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 Tire Review & Rating

Built to take on the toughest of winter weather and road conditions, the Blizzak WS70 from Bridgestone offers high performance winter traction and control to get you where you need to be. Designed for drivers of coupes, sedans, minivans and crossovers, the WS70 is Bridgestone’s newest and most advanced studless snow tire.

New technology, like the NanoPro Tech multicell tread compound used in this model feature unique polymers, and rubber chemicals that work to increase performance on snow, ice and wet pavement.

Blizzak WS70 Winter Tire from Bridgestone Tires

The new flexible rubber tread compound provides the same grip in zero and below zero degree conditions as it does at 32 degrees. The 3-D zig-zag sipes in the shoulder blocks add more stiffness and performance on cold dry roads, resulting in better overall handling and cornering. These sipes also provide added traction on wet and snow covered roads.

A directional tread design sports four circumferential grooves to go along with an optimized deeper tread width contact patch to evacuate rain, snow and slush from under the tread. Not only does this help reduce the risk of hydroplaning, but it also increases braking performance on ice and snow.

Inside the tire you will find two steel belts that are spirally wrapped with nylon for added strength and durability. They also enhance ride comfort and overall tread wear. Bridgestone has included a built-in treadwear indicator that lets you see when 50% of the tread is worn down, which means just 10% of the unique multicell compound is left in the tread.

Overall Thoughts

Without wasting time we can only say that this Bridgestone Blizzak is one of the top winter tires on the market today. They take on the harshest weather and road conditions that you can find, and they don’t let you down. We especially like how well they grip icy road surfaces.

Sure, they are expensive to a degree compared to some other brands, but for the quality and performance you’ll get, the value is outstanding. Reviews from other tire owners overwhelmingly confirm this as well. Highly recommended.
